How do you expect bad games to have good demos? You're being unreasonable.

Its almost like you don't want bad games making money.

Why should people be fooled into buying a crappy game (especially if you can't get a refund as it's a download only game)? We get ripped off as it is. And it's only a good thing if bad games do badly. Then in theory, there should be no more bad games. Sounds abit like natural selection really.

Sometimes you need to take companies into consideration. There are lots of talentless studios and if they can't rely on people purchasing their garbage on a whim, they'll just go bankrupt. Demos for all games means good studios will get richer and talentless hacks will suffer.

Those who don't like demos. Can i trust your word on RPG's or anything else then? Since they never have demos. Also, is story that important in them type of games? I want to try Persona 4 the golden on Vita but not sure if i should buy the other 3 first (they are all on PSN). The same with other games like Final Fantasy. I come to understand that games like Final Fantasy (JRPG) are very different to games like Mass Effect (RPG).

Dragon Age 2 had a pretty good demo, and I think we all know how Dragon Age 2 turned out.

So demos aren't 100% trustworthy, but they are certainly better than having no demo at all.

Look at it like this when you buy a car you get to test drive it and see if it fits your needs. When you buy a mattress you can test it out and see if it's comfy. When you want to buy a game you should be able to test every single game before purchase. I want quality and if I am not allowed to experience that before purchase then I will not purchase that product. It's a cheap way to scam people for money I hate when companies do that. Therefore they never get my business until I am personally satisfied I will enjoy my purchase.

Don't that happen anyway? The decent studios all make a good amount of money as good games get good reviews and just sell more. Only people who buy nearly everything or are trophy/achievement hunters would buy a bad game. Not very many people.

I guess reviews are often more reliable but it's still not the same as expieriencing something first hand.

Talking about Gearbox again, Duke Nukem Forever had a great demo.
It was the first level of the game and it had pretty much everything a Duke Nukem fan could want from it. If every level was like that I'm sure it would've ended up with a 75-80 Metascore, but starting with level 2 everything from there on was crap.

On another note: I loved the Burnout Paradise demo, but I completely disliked the full game.

The Force Unleashed was similar, though I think the meta could have gone up to the mid-80s if the whole game had been as good as the demo. Unfortunately, it sort of collapsed into a buggy mess. Great story, though.
