read my psot again, the have to conveince the publisher so that they can release a demo cause not every publisher likes them for every game.....

Personally, I enjoy blind purchases, so it doesn't matter to me if there are demos.

Just about every XBLA and Indie marketplace title has a demo.
MS forced them to make demos. But MS doesn't have that requirement for retail games.
