Typical PR play. He's not wrong in that most consumers will buy the console that plays their fave games, but like a typical PR guy he put a lot of marketing fud in their too:

- The fact he then went on to say PS4 has "off the shelf parts" is a bit of a joke considering both companies use very similar chips and have their own customisations for each console.

- If specs aren't important then why even bother mentioning the "5 billion transistors" in their reveal? MS have revealed specs for previous consoles so why not this one? Typical marketing fud.

- If the power of the console isn't important why misdirect people about the "infinite power of the cloud"?

MS need to figure out a clear and direct message for their PR guys to give as this guys comments are the opposite of their previous comments.

I bet if the X1 was more powerful they would be talking about that a lot

then why do they keep talking about Cloud and how much Xbox One is 10 times more powerful than an Xbox 360?

xbox1 exec is plain wrong ' people do care about specs and games, which sony is likly to have the better imo ontop of being cheaper

he is right in the sense that games DO matter; I consider myself a pretty advent gamer and I don't understand any of this DDR5/Esam/GPU stuff people are talking about

but I hope he knows that Sony IS bringing the games; 30 exclusives/20 first-party/12 new IPs is what Sony bringing to the table (within first year) along with a cheaper price and a more powerful console

Not only are the spec's better on PS4, the games are too

though it may be "meaningless", it is still better, and the sony first-party games have always been better as well, so why should I get an xbox? unless you like Fable, Forza, Halo or Gears, it's a stupid acquisition
