Wow this would be amazing but I don't trust it. They've designed the console's functions around it. Still, if they get rid of the Kinect then they could drop the price to $399 or less and that will be a day one purchase for me.

First of all, it is not much weaker. The WiiU is, Xbone is not.

Then, price is in no relation to power.

Then, price you pay for consoles depends on how much loss companies think will still turn out good in the long run.

Then, Kinect-price can't be guessed properly.

Na I wrote $350 before but $50 less for a system with a 33% less powerful gpu seems too high so i put a price of $300. I would guess kinect would still hold a $150 price tag so the one would have to cost $350 but in ll honesty that won't do much to sway ps4 users to the one. Now if it were $300 that could make all those casuals switch. My post made sense ur brain just couldnt process all of that maybe all that cloud processing isn't working properly today?  ;)

That would be bonkers if true. I guess Microsoft REALLY isn't playing around and the figures must have spooked them. If true, what vision will they carry forward for the system? What made it unique is being stripped away, so the software would have to really standout now. I didn't mind Kinect or the 100 extra, but I guess some people did. Let's wait and see how things go.

Why don't you people want kinect? There was like crazy coverage how its awesome and 10X better than current kinect...

Saying "Xbox snap porn" while your Xall of Duty matchmaking is loading doesn't sound appealing?

If that's the case then the kinct doesn't have any real use for gaming.

you may still need for skype though.

Just drop the price with Kinect to $399, eat the losses and totally dominate the US market share.
