Forums - Sony - Do you think Vita had nothing to show at E3?

IGN disagrees

http://uk.ign.com/articles/2013/06/19/e3-2013-one-gigantic-playstation-vita-game-roundup?page=1

My thoughts was pretty much this: With everyone so focus on ps4/X1, no one would really care about anything else.

Nintendo knew this, that's why they didn't turn up and I believed that no matter what Vita showed, it would still get a bad rep and sure enough as always the case, people are still saying Vita (had/has) no gaemz!

Maybe this might change your mind.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

I'm really impressed. Sony did a great job of keeping all of their secrets under wraps. Not only did very little leak out about the PS4, they also managed to go another year without anyone noticing that the Vita exists.

It's all part of the plan buddy, just you wait!!!

Is it really that the Vita has no games? Not really. It's tht it has no system sellers. Nowhere on that list is there a game that could come close to a million seller, and only a couple at best which could hit 500k LT.

That there is your problem. No one cares about these games, and I apologise is that sounds a bit blunt. I'll be picking up a couple, but nothing there is going to help the Vita situation even slightly. And that is why they had a poor E3 and pretty much cemented the Vita scenario. Sony just doesn't care, so why should anyone else?

It's sad, but true.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

There's a video that I can't be bothered digging up now where HipHopGamer interviews someone like Scott Rohde who says to watch for Gamescom.

Which wouldn't surprise me. Repeat of last year, but lesser. Nothing at E3 (although last year had Assassin's Creed, which was leaked before E3) and then a few reveals at Gamescom (last year was Tearaway and finally seeing some gameplay of Killzone).

I don't think they've really got much up their sleeve other than a couple of first party titles and a third party exclusive, though.

IMO Sony can only release the games, it's up to the consumers to pick and choose, if consumers only care about big and flashy "AAA" games then that's their problem because if they get offered those,
they complain "I can already play this elsewhere" I want something unique, if they get something unique, they complain "why is it coming to the Vita, I would show more interest if it came on the ps3 (e.g Uncharted GA),

My arguement is always the same, how can Sony give consumers what they want, if the consumers don't know what it wants.

"Vita haz noe gaemz" doesn´t mean that there literally aren´t any games on the system, but that the majority of games can be found on other systems (PS360, PC etc.) with only a few exceptions to the rule that picked my interest (Ys, Gravity Rush,Tearaway)...
Sorry, but I feel this way :/

That's a good idea. They should try that sometime.

Indie multiplat, multiplat, browser game, upgraded iOS indie game, multiplat, iOS indie game, indie multiplat, legit exclusive game, indie multiplat, indie multiplat, exclusive indie game, upgrade of an existing vita game, multiplat, indie multiplat, indie multiplat, legit exclusive game, multiplat, legit exclusive game, already released indie game, legit exclusive game.

The combined efforts of the whole damn industry net us 6 exclusive games, 2 of which are low quality retro stuff.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

i dont really notice the "lack" of games, vita isnt my main system but i do play it almost daily for about 1 - 3hours whether its madden, nfs, or jak and daxter. i have 12 in my vita library and rayman is great. im looking forward to the future with the vita, especially when i get my ps4. i didnt include the free games from ps+ which helps keep it fresh as well. my only bitch about it is the memory card price.

and i love the retro stuff btw.
