Good. People need to know about this. If they still decide to buy the console, that's up to them. I'm just want people to be well informed.

Then why was it important to point out that Polygon is funded by Microsoft? Apparently that fact is meaningless, considering that they wrote reviews like the ones you linked.

Its not really important, I just find it funny that even a site funded by Microsoft doesnt want the Xbox One.

I think it's best to wait for more clarification on Sony's part. As far as I know, they have said that they will leave it up to publishers, but how exactly is still very much unknown.

We actually do know. Sony said its up to the publishers.... if they want to implement an online registration for their product (AKA Online passes)

well turns out there is hope from gaming journalism after all

What are you talking about? The media has nothing but praise for the XBox One.

Shameless self-promotion....but you said post any article

Basically, we have put ourselves in this mess. We complain about all of the bull we have to go through, but still buy the games en masse. If we buy the Xbone, we are telling Microsoft and other companies it is okay to do these things. They will continue to push the envelope little by little and it will only get worse from here on out.

They've certainly earned the bad press.

Not all of us will be buying it

I like the points you put out, thanks for posting!

There are some notable ommisions from this thread.

The good thing: MS can change everything because all drm is implemented in software.
The bad thing: They won't.

I think another key thing to note in all of this, is that Microsoft are cancelling 1 on 1 interviews left, right and center.

Its not just the roundtables before and after E3, its now 1 on 1's too...
