Actually, it kind of will. Know why? Because there are a LOT of people who can only afford one console, who are on the fence right now about what next gen system to get this fall. A LOT of people are turned off by all that has been announced about Xbone, and that means a LOT of those folks are going to be getting a PS4 or Wii U. And some PC-centric folks will just decide to stick with PC.

1. "a LOT of people" = internet message forums. Almost no-one. You know when the PSABR hype was like HYPE HYPE HYPE and then it bombed? That.

2. If you asked them now, yes. Because it's literally GOOD CONSOLE vs BAD CONSOLE. Of course people will say PS4 now. Because nothing's really been announced. When MS's exclusives and lower price (better be - they have weaker hardware) get announced, people won't let these issues sway them.

There was a lot of negativity for PSABR everywhere too, being called a ripp-off and where is Crash and Spyro, etc. It bombed I  still love the multiplayer part.

Around the Network

The agendas here are what color everything. For many raging about the X1, they were going to rage no matter what. They are tirelessly posting here and everywhere because they want to see WHATEVER the new Xbox is to fail.

I was a 360 only owner this gen for a variety of reasons. I was kinda lukewarm on the reveal because I'm looking for new gaming experiences in particular. But when I saw the voracity of the online attacks and the torrent of factually wrong or unconfirmed things being vomited up all over, I realized what was happening.

Yes, as others have mentioned, this is what fanboy haters do, in gaming, sports, luxury cars, etc. And they ARE the minority, with less power and insight than they'll ever admit. They've latched on to a few things, spun them in the most negative way possible and will continue to try to keep them at the forefront of any discussion about the X1, even if the E3 showing is the most legendary showing of games in the history of the industry. And we will continue to here these same things for the rest of this gen and beyond, successful or not.

Why? Because the internet. *sigh*
