Forums - Sony - Sony Aces up the sleeves

With the lackluster reveal of Xbox One, MS has almost showed all their Aces. It is true that they have some 15 upcoming exclusives including 8 new IP's, but who knows how many of those are only sequels and Kinnect games.

However, Sony still have a lot to show in upcoming E3 including:

1-  New Hardware Console

2- The new camera functionality.

3- Touch pad usage within games and possible show off for a game which uses the touchpad.

4- 1st party developers games for Ps4 such as Naughty Dogs, Santa Monica, and Media Molecule., etc....

In addition, Sony will be talking about upcoming PS3 games such as Beyond, Last of Us, GT6, and Puppeteer. PS Vita will be also in the mix of E3 presentations.

On the other hand, i am not sure what Microsoft has left to reveal. I cant see MS topping Sony presentation in any way possible way.

Sony will have a great E3. but I'm sure MS will have a great one too.

i think MS did a big mistake by telling their competition that they have 15 new titles in development.. Sony are just going to come out with even more number as they have two teams in almost every studio and are far ahead in terms of development..

MS are in the same exact position as Sony was in 2006. with no game footage to show and had to rely on CG footage..

exactly why would you let an already aggresive competitor know what you have planned

M$ can win with games. They have a few new studios and have spent a lot of money on games, don't write them off yet

Sony are going to win my money, but I am biased, this is definitely not all over yet

Let's not forget that Sony's stance on used games is also awfully murky, these consoles are still 6 months from launch, so a lot can change between now and then

We still don't know if Sony would go "online fee" though. Think of that before saying Sony's got full house.

I watched the MS conference hoping that they would bring something to the table that would make me go 'Wow I have to get me that' but nothing at all interested me. Sure Kinect has taken a massive leap forward in terms of scope which does look interesting but they have added in a lot of negative aspects that really did not need to be there.

Not allowing users to upgrade their own HDD, focusing too much on TV integration, alienating users with pre-owned game fees (apparently full RRP) and also the issue with the semi-always online aspect which is yet to be fully clarified.

I won't hide that I am a Sony gamer but I appreciate the other consoles, even owned a 360 Elite for a period, but I was just very unimpressed and it would appear that a large portion of the gaming world felt the same! They better have a brilliant E3 lined up to follow this...

I am still convinced that they won't go that route since they have PS+ to bring them in subscription revenue, not to mention it is a huge advantage against the X1.

Nothing makes a competitor look worse in my opinion that letting it be known that going into the next generation that they are still the only ones requiring you to pay to play your games online.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

To be convinced about something doesn't make it truth. Just look at the One reveal and lots of things that people were convinced that wouldn't show up ended up being there.

Wait until Sony say something. Or Microsoft perhaps can drop the Live fee, that would be a huge plus.

Games...

I bet the camera won't beat Kinect, and touchpad functionality isn't really that big of a highlight.

But Sony can still impress with the actual PS4.

And isn't this focus on multiple consoles (PS3, PSV and PS4) some sort of disadvantage. I mean that was the reason for the X-One reveal, to make space for its gaming potential and exclusives.
