Well what does that have to do with this story?

Just venting?

what does paternal rights have to do with a thread about paternal rights?

While what he did was horrible, it was a result of him having no options left or any choice in the matter. I have horror stories from close friends where their girlfriends would lie to them about taking birth control pills just so they could get pregnant. Being a man isn't is easy mode as everyone keeps saying.

which could so easily be avoided by using condoms

Hurf durf, when you're in a relationship there should be trust.

this is no trust issue, this is an issue of responsibilities

if you as a man are absolutely against having a baby, then take responsibility for the birth control and not just expect the female to fuck up her hormon balance

My post was with regard to trust within a relationship, as these women lied to their partners to which they agreed to use birth control instead of a condom. It was to paint an image of one of the more exaggerated but still plausible situations where the man in the relationship can be thrust into fatherhood when they do not wish to be. I posted it in order to play devil's advocate and to show that these situations can also have another side to them which these news stories fail to go into. That is not to say I condone the actions of this man.

You replied that it could be avoided with a condom, which again does not take into consideration the wants of the couple within that relationship nor the fact that a condom also isn't 100% reliable, just like birth control. Your statement missed the point of my example entirely that you are now arguing just for the sake of arguing.

Look, just be cautious about any girl that wants a creampie.

The right to trick a girl into killing her unborn child?

Its a little weird. People are hearing this story and somehow turned it into women have too much power.

Also if this guy is gonna get charged for murder for what he did then logically speaking a 6 week old fetus is being treated legally as a human being with full rights. Why then is it that those rights are not afforded to a fetus if the man wants to keep the child and the woman aborts?

LIberals are opposed to that logical thinking in fear it helps the pro-life movement.

Thank you for the answer, I guess my question was to an extent rhetorical. It's just fascinating to observe people and or groups discard logic in an attempt to advance their agenda.

...Seriously though, having experienced this kind of stuff...one really doesn't know the real effects of abortion and all the feelings and understanding surrounding it until you go through it.

It's like when a family member dies, even of old age, you're never prepared for it, and you guys in this thread aren't really qualified to have an opinion. (yes I know that sounds silly, but it's one of those things).

I have never experienced the effects of my own child being aborted since I could never bring myself to even consider that choice, but I can understand you to an extent.

When my sister had her first pregnancy about 9 years ago she always talked to me about how happy she was. She had all these things planned out, about me being the godfather of the child, etc... I was actually very excited, because I love my sister and I was excited that she was going to make me an uncle.

Then a couple months later she comes home and tells me she had an abortion because the father of the baby said he would leave her if she had the child.

It made me incredibly upset, enough that we both cried. I felt like I lost a part of my family. To this day I feel that that decision also took a part of my sister with it.

Now she is with a new guy and they have been together for ~6 years now and my niece just turned 5.

What did he say? 'hey, I have a new sex fantasy, I want to stick a coat hanger up your vag and have some fun" Then boom she was tricked?

I feel sorry for her though, but how do you trick someone into something like this? It is like tricking a man into getting a vasectomy. "Oh,ummm why don't you lay on this doctor bed and they are going to put you to sleep" When you wake up your penis will hurt." Alright?

No!

I really do feel sorry for her though if that is not what she wanted, I am not trying to be insensitive, I just think that when your own body is being used like this you should know what is going on. If not the it is probably illegal.

I guess you didn't even watch the video to get the whole story.

She had an infection and was prescribed Amoxicillan. The boyfriend swapped the amoxicillian pills with abortion pills. She then took, thinking they were the prescribed antibiotics. She had no idea until she began bleeding out.

Aren't abortion pills just the Plan B pills? If so, they would have no effect after 3 days. If the guy is being tried for murder it would be ridiculously hard to prove the miscarriage is due to him giving her those pills.

It seems like they were having an intellignet discussion at first... but then it falls apart and they start pushing their agenda. Dancing around what to call murder in fear of hurting the pro-choice movement.

Its digusting really.

Probably not. I don't think the video actually names the pills. But I know for a fact that there exist dedicated abortion pills: pills designed to induce a miscarriage. How he got a hold of them is also interesting; I don't think they are something you can just buy. Maybe his father lent a helphing hand?

Scratch that, his father was an OBGYN. Probably got the drug from him... the dad should probably be investigated as well because I'm sure that would be a prescribed drug that the son shouldn't have access to
