Are PS3 Exclusives that good or is Playstation Nation Hyping?

I only own an Xbox 360 and I am satisfied with it. I have seen and played a fair amount of PS3 exclusive games. One of my friends have had a PS3 since launch day, I was with him waiting in line for a PS3, I played many of the launch games. I played Resistance, Motorstorm, and a couple others. Over the years I have played other exclusives such as the Uncharted Series, I also played the God of War games on PS2 and wasn't interested in God of War for the PS3.

Many other PS3 exclusives such as Little Big Planet, honestly after just looking at trailers of that game, my interest was nowhere to be found, yet Playstation Nation was praising this game. Warhawk looks to be good, but then again I have plenty of fun playing the Gears of War franchise online. In my opinion, a fun game is a fun game, so my interest once again was gone.

There are games on Xbox 360 that I don't care for either such as Viva Pinata, Banjo Kazooie, and others. I am happy with the third party games on Xbox 360, Gears of war is where I spend most of my time, and whenever a cool multiplatform game comes out I play it end it and go right back to Gears of war online.

All I am saying is Playstation Nation makes so much noise about all these PS3 exclusives, I have played a fair amount PS3 exclusives, and while Sony has provided a good selection of exclusives, I haven't seen or played anything that makes me want to buy a PS3.

So I just want to know, is Playstation Nation just using hype trying to convince people to buy PS3 or am I missing something.

Depends on the game. IMO the ones deserving of the hype are

God of War 3
Uncharted 2
Ratchet and Clank a Crack in Time
Ni No Kuni
Killzone 3
Infamous 1 and 2

The ones that arent anything special IMO are
Uncharted 1 and 3
Killzone 2
God of War Ascension
Heavy Rain
The Resistance Series
Twisted Metal
Etc.

ps3 exclusives are great!
am not a god of war fan but the uncharted games are great, demon souls is awesome.
if you like JRPG Valkyria Chronicles is also pretty fun
and well you should play metal gear 4

People will like what they like I guess. I was a huge Nintendo fanboy before I played PS2. I hated PS1. PS3 exclusives are good but every console has good exclusives. I think PS3 has more variety in their exclusives but that's my opinion.

To me the biggest exclusive is Gran Turismo, easy as that. And I'd say it is also worth getting a playstation alone.

I think this is the important bit.  You'll have people hyping certain exclusives and others will hype others.  My list would take out Ratchet and Killzone 3 and include Heavy Rain and Atelier instead.  Now if you have different people hyped about diferent games then it will come off as "playstation nation hypes everything" when it's really "Karl hypes Ni no Kuni and Heavy Rain while not giving a shit about Killzone" and "Steve hypes Killzone and God of War and doesn't care in the slightest about LBP".  Have a large enough group and every game will have someone who's hyped for it.  If you find a single person who hypes every single playstation exclusive then call them out for it, but getting annoyed that a group has a variety of tastes among them just seems idiotic.  

edit: also the idea that you don't find anything to care about on a platform does not mean it's not a good platform for others.  I don't call the 360 shit just because it doesn't have enough games that fit my taste to be worth the purchase.
