This meshes well with my own predictions, with the sole exception of Wii U hardware. I don't forsee Nintendo achieving even half of their projected figures for that system. I can't imagine retailers would maintain inventory of the Wii U significant enough to actually meet Nintendo's estimates.

As far as their 14 billion yen profit estimate...probably not. Provided that their sales forecast accords for his profits estimate, then the Wii U's lack of sales will be a weight around their neck, even with the weakening Yen. I think they could probably maintain a profit margin, but a bit south of 14 billion.

This is what happens when you let your home console sit in a drought for 90% of a quarter Nintendo, take note.

I hope they suffer a loss; they sorely need a kick in the arse to get them off said arses and actually trying on the Wii U front.

Overall profit? Yes.

Those digital sales should sure help. I do expect a small loss for Q4 though.

yep, they should reach that goal based on the 3ds balance alone. The wiiU while not profitable should at least make even with the wiiU games + wii + ds legacy games/hardware...

well if they ever decide to release games for the wii u, i would imagine it selling quite well.

Maybe. At the same time, any sales they make in the future won't help them, since the quarter has already ended.

Don´t know, it´s hard to tell

I imagine we'd be looking at quite a different picture had Wonderful 101 and Pikmin 3 arrived in the launch window like they were supposed to.

On a side note, Nintendo stock today in Japan is up by 10%.... hmm. No news of why though.
