If I said EA, would the thread explode?

Yes. But the answer is either SEGA or Capcom

See, this is what I don't understand.

Capcom provided some lightgun Resident Evil games; Tatsunoko vs. Capcom; Monster Hunter & ports of Okami & Dead Rising.

SEGA provided average-at-best entries in their Sonic; Monkey Ball; Nights & Conduit franchises, plus a Mario Olympics tie-in and a load of ports.

I mean, EA did as much as SEGA did.  They had the best (and only) online FPS on Wii for a number of years.  The provided exclusive entries in most of their major franchises (The Sims; Need for Speed; Dead Space; SSX; Skate etc.). Plus they ported FIFA, Madden, Need for Speed & Rock Band every year.  And then a load of shovelware like everyone else churned out on Wii.

Objectively, I don't see that as any worse than the other two.  I mean, SEGA didn't even make a good game for Wii; I suppose Sonic Colours was the best.  At least Dead Space + the Rock Band ports were decent enough games.  From a quality point of view, I can at least understand saying Capcom put in more effort, but I definitely don't think it's true for SEGA.

I was only bringing this up because I actually looked at my Wii games collection and genuinely the most third-party titles I own are EA games.  SSX Blur was a great game beyond the motion controls; MySims Agents was fun; SimCity Creator was at least an attempt at the franchise on consoles & Need for Speed Nitro was a fun - if lightweight - Burnout clone.

Each to their own I guess!

Capcom gave Wii Monster Hunter Tri, RE4, RE:DC, RE:UC, Okami, Zack & Wiki and Capcom vs Tatsunoko and uh... Spyborgs But left Wii without RE5/6 or DMC and ported a half-ass Dead Rising (not sure if that's a plus or minus)

Activision did alright bringing all but MW2 over to Wii from CoD, plus Goldeneye but that was it for core (unless you count Guitar Hero or the various Spider-man titles which were some of the best Wii ports actually). Sins include the unfinished Quantum of Solance and a lot of crap titles.

For Ubisoft - Red Steel 1/2, Driver PL/SF, PoP:RS/FS, Tenchu, No More Heroes 1/2, Splinter Cell, Rayman Origins, so more than Capcom or Activision, plus they gave Rabbids and Just Dance (love them or hate them, they helped define Wii). Of course they also gave us one of the ugliest ports ever in Farcry: Vengence, no Assassin's Creed and a whole lot of crap, but they were hardly alone in that. Plus they were brave enough to port Dog Island.

Someone will say Sega but although MadWorld and HoTD:Overkill were rated M and marketed as 'core' they were a 13 yr olds idea of mature. And someone else would have picked up Conduit. They dabbled in core and then quickly ran away. Sonic Colours was their highlight.

EA can hang it's head in shame as far as 'core' goes. But Tiger Woods and NHL Slapshot were brilliant on Wii.

I don't think anyone else is worth mentioning here.

EA did alright with me on Wii.  I loved Boom Blox: Bash Party - the online level sharing was amazing and Sport Active/2 were the best fitness titles around.  They did a lot of quality sports titles from Blur, TW, Grand Slam Tennis, Skate, Slapshot, early NFSs (I found Nitro to be a bore and later editions were atroious.)  But for this question it depends on if you count sport titles as 'core' or 'casual'.   I think in this forum most consider them more casual which just leaves Dead Rising: Extraction - a great on rails that no one wanted.   We wanted a true Dead Rising which could have been as great as RE4 if done properly.

Indeed, has to be Sega or Capcom

Edit: Am I the only one who loved Sonic and the Black Knight?

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

It's pretty sad that Capcom can win this on the back of basically two games (MH3 and Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom) and some very dated ports (RE4, Okami, etc.).

It was alright. Colours was better.
