Yep W101 might do a little bit in Japan but next to nothing in the West. |
isnt W101 a more western styled game than japanese? i thought this game would help in the west really, not much in japan?

Wow Gears dropped immensely from GoW3.
Bring on next gen.

Looks very niche and Japanese to me (which is obvious since it's made by Platinum Games).
Japanese gamers will get it for the developer's name alone. They aren't that famous in the West.

Looks like hack n' slash games don't sell very well. Especially in Europe. Look at God of War... |
Diablo 3 still to come. But according to pc-gamers it's not that good at all...

I think most PC gamers had problems with BattleNet and missing features that were added later.
I guess PS3 will have those at launch.

The console version seems like the definitive version of Diablo III... in any case the game is AMAZING on PC but the fans are upset because a lot of choices in development was made thinking in consoles.
The offline play mades the consoles version already better than the PC version... and there are a lot of new features only to consoles to make the gameplay better.

Weak EU sales for Gears outside of the UK where it sold 88k of the 188k in the EU.
Wii U with a nice boost from Lego, Monster Hunter and various store discounts such as Best Buy, Costco, Both in the US and ASDA and ShopTo in Europe.

Wasn't Kojima talking about a possible sequel just before the actual release of Reveangeance? Who knows what he thinks after he's meditated on the mediocre sales.

Try harder man.

"He said that Rising is selling well worldwide so far, giving him further license to do as he pleases. The man is near-untouchable at the moment, but he remains humble, piling immense praise on Platinum Games’ end-product. Should a Rising sequel happen, Kojima wants Platinum back for round two."
"In Kojima’s mind, this collaboration has been a surprising success, and he has already started to thrash out loose ideas for a follow-up."
One million already at the end of the console cycle, even the king of hack and slash (sales wise) GOW is having less sales than before.
Well, global is up.
Another week goes by, another game doesn't get tracked in the USA. This time it's Dead or Alive 5+. Last week it was Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2+. Before that, Atelier Ayesha.
I think VGChartz doesn't care for Tecmo Koei.
