Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Need for Speed MW U "Graphics seem slightly worse compared to other versions"

I've seen comparative shots from wiiu and 360 version and the latter looks like the underdog version.

Well, we will wait for the DF comparison.

Wat?  This quote is from the gaming nexus thing, did you just agree to not seeing this quote? :O

where does it say that, i think you have it mixed up with gamerevoltuion

The third paragraph up from the bottom (where you see the 8.8 score), second sentence.

yup i read that, and i think this reviewer has no idea what he's talking about, its looks as good as the pc version, will wait for DF for a proper comparison.

Who cares!! It gave us the best commercial in years with the best gif:

Cue the excuses.

-EA hates Nintendo
-Shitty port
-Wii U has untapped potential
-Game sucks anyway
-I'd rather buy Mario Kart

How about show some proof. Seems like this is one review that is at odds with many others.

Frankly I don't really care so much and wouldn't buy the game on any console, but it sad all others are ignored because one comes out and fits one person's biased conclusions.

"The Wii U's HDMI colour range problem could lead to a perceived loss of image quality on a number of TVs even when the game is rendering better."

The reviews that I am seeing and the developers say the Wii U version looks the best.  The reviewer that the OP linked is incompetent

http://www.gamingnexus.com/Article/Need-for-Speed-Most-Wanted-U/Item3926.aspx

Says it has better graphics than the XBOX 360 and PS3 versions. Also says framerate is great

"Even more impressive, in my time with the game I never encountered a single framerate hiccup or annoying loading screen—the whole experience was smooth as silk.

The game looks and plays better than the previous home console versions, standing shoulder to shoulder with the PC version in terms of graphics, and the added Wii features just sweeten the pot. While many launch window ports on Wii have felt rushed and overall shaky, NFSMWU screams like a V12 roadster doing 160 on the interstate. Whatever Criterion has done, I hope other developers learn how to coax this much raw performance out of the Wii U, and soon.

Presentation-wise, NFSMWU is one of the prettiest, most artful titles on the Wii U bar none. Fairhaven positively shimmers with indulgent sun-halos, reflections and effects, and the world itself is impeccably modeled and textured. It’s the cars, however, that really stand out—the term auto erotica takes on a whole new meaning here as each vehicle, even the Ford pickups, has been rendered in loving detail with some truly jaw-dropping reflections and specular mapping. Of special note are the event intros, which range from range from lurid, almost hedonistic pan n’ scans of the cars to what can only be described as arthouse fare. It’s both funny and welcome to see some creative cutscenes in a racing game."

of course, if it's bad news the reviewer is automatically incompetent...

Just wait for a proper comparison.

It looks like the WiiU version will be better looking, but it's not certain yet.

no surprise EA hate nintendo, you can't expect a third party developer to do a good port on the wii U we still don't know what the hardware is capable of. There is still 30% of the graphic card capability that we don't know about. Anyway that game sucked on the HD twins and mario kart is a lot more fun

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

Its clear as day now, that no game on the WiiU will show that its objectivly far more powerfull than the 360 or PS3, just like the Wii never prooved that is is more powerfull than an Xbox.

The Wii showed it as more powerful than the Xbox wth Mario Galaxy, Jett Rocket, and Modern Warfare 3.

And the idea that the Wii U is maxed out within five months of its release is ludicrous, anyone who thinks so clearly knows very little about game development.

Waiting on Digital Foundry for a "proper" comparison is like waiting on a bobsled to drive up a mountain.

So much dog barf comes out of that site that it's ridiculous. Never trust a mainstream tech site. They're full of shit, like trying to count pixels on low-res live feeds, their magical pixel counting software that for some reason no one else has access to, their inconsistent babble, their willingness to jump to conclusions (like saying Wii U's Latte is awful without even knowing what makes up 30% of the chip, and saying the chip is based on R700 when the company who took the picture said it was custom).
