This price cut needs to come to the west too.

Well ! This is an unexpected news !! I was betting for 40k the first week of the price drop, now, im expecting  100 k :p ( or... maybe vita is selling out because there wasnt enough Vita in stores ... )

Next week numbers will be intredasting! Vita > 360?

Vita > 3DS in Japan! Well, at least for one week.
Also Vita should stabilize somewhat higher, maybe 50k worldwide. Should definitely sell out the Wii U for good from now on. I'm not so sure about a price cut in the west though. In europe you can get a vita for 199 € with a game and a 4 GB memcard since half a year or so. Don't know about America, but europeans don't buy the vita even if it's cheap. Also the 3DS sales in the west are clearly showing that there just isn't a really high demand for handhelds here. So I think Sony won't take a hit on hardware sales in the west. They will concentrate on Japan I think.

Killzone could help in the west, but since it's launching the same day as GTA V I doubt it. But whatever, I would really like to see a turnaround for the vita a it's an awesome system in every way.

The real problem in Europe is the visibility, Vita doesnt exist, even Amazon doesnt know what are the next release ( nothing about Soul Sacrifice/killzone/tearaway)

I'd expect it to do pretty well this week, but you'd have to wonder what the stock situation is. You'd there'd be plenty because of the new PSO bundle.
