I just read on N4G that Sony has a patent that tracks load time to detect pirated software. Correct me if im wrong but at the Sony press conference they claimed the PS4 will be instant and have no load time? Im confused as to what load time they would have to track?

Not the same thread.....im asking why thay claimed the system will have no load time yet they have a patent to detect it. Will change the title then...

At the conference they talked about playing when only games are partially loaded from PSN. You can't get rid of load times. The closest would be using cartridges. I used to say progress means waiting longer for your games.

Improved? No load time can be taken as an improvement, but no load time still means no load time on planet earth.

so were bashing the PS4 for having load times now?

Im asking why Sony said it will have no load time at their conference when it obviously will.

when did they say that? i remember them saying it will improve load times. atleast get the source of them saying that

Jak & Daxter clearly showed improved load times..

on 360 I hear you can play a game with load times and it will be ok but if you install the game the load times will be.. dare i say it.. improved!?? =O *gasp*
