I've only seen Princess Nausica, but I liked the artwork and really really liked the warm wholesome feeling that the movie gives. BTW, is this a common thing for all/most Studio Ghibli films?

YES. I highly recommend watching the rest of Ghibli's films as soon as possible. Doesn't matter which one you start with. You will not regret it.

1. Secret of Arrietty

2. Howl's Moving Castle - I mean come on, Batman is in the movie!

3. Spirited Away

1. Castle in the Sky (Valuse)
2.Howl's Moving Castle (Ghibli seems to really like castles...)
3.The Cat returns. (Yay beastiality)

I watched the English one.  I loved that movie.  Not really sure why but the music and atmosphere was amazing.  The ending fealt a little rushed but overall it was amazing

Not much love for The Cat Returns?

Not surprised. I think it's the simplest, shortest, least emotional, least deep and most commercial of Ghibli movies. It's also my favorite to watch for those very reasons.

It's far from their best, but that's not what you asked. :)

Second and third would be Totoro and Mononoke Hime. Totoro is just beautiful and Mononoke Hime got me into anime.

I was disappointed when i was playing Ni No Kuni, cause i expected some kind of Arietty easter egg at the beginining of the game when Oliver is sneaking around the house at night

:(
