Oh, a memory card price cute is also needed. Badly.

lol that make its funny.

That could be a good idea. The Japanese market always likes cute things!

Yeah, they just need a new Hitsune Miku ever week. INSTANT QUADRUPLE SALES!!!

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

Naw! That would milk the series dry!

Anything Sony already hasn't done to the Vita would be a good idea. Including...
~ Dropping the price by 50$ on the Wi-Fi one.
~ Getting rid of the 3G Version. (Keeping the 3G service alive, though. We don't want to make the customers even more mad that they bought that version.)
~ Increase marketing. Make noticeable and recognizable commercials.
~ Push the Vita as what it is, an HD Handheld gaming console that isn't just a PS3 on the go.

Thats hard for Sony to drop the 3g model! Think of all 19 people in the world that bought one lol JK, by the way The price needs to go down to $149-$169. Why? Holidays did terrible with $199 bundled with free memory (i think 4gig). Yea its that bad

1. Cut the price to $199 with 1 game and a 4GB memory card bundled. Even if this step hurts them financially they'll have to do it. No HW-> No SW (although not as simple as it sounds of course)
2. BEG the 3rd party developers for games.

EDIT: $170 with no game and a 4GB memcard

If it drops to 199$ for the normal version then people will take notice... I think...

I'd make good games for it.

Remember, it's useless even at $200 if it doesn't play halo or Mario or whatever

Problem is PSP had MH and GTA! MH is now on 3DS, so bye to that this and next year. GTA wont come out soon, they're releasing GTA5 so they dont wrry bout Vita.. No Software means no selling hardware. 3DS will have a fantastic year while Sony should just wrry (focus) on PS4

Not really, Holiday is the time where you want to spend your money on bargains. If a little bit of people bought a Vita bundled for $199 and others were turned off, Vita stands no chance at selling even with an 8gig memory card for $199 imo

- Prciedrop is first and foremost, on hardware AND sotware.

- Next I would try to land either an exclusive Monster Hunter, Dragon Quest, or FF game to ignite support in Japan. Once the console has success there, chances it will follow in the West, or at least in Europe. Japan was the main driver behind the PSP's relative success so focusing on JApan, at least initially, is important.

- More aggressive advertising. Can't remember the vest time I've seen a Vita ad.

- More smaller, quirky games like Little Deviants, and LBP to appeal to the masses.

- More games in general. If there are enough games, no matter what they are, the consumers will come as long as there is a steady stream of them and they are of quality. The more games you crank out, the more potential for hits, and thus consoles sales, you have.

- Release more of Sony's big sellers of the past, and use the brand name strength of these titles like GTA, Jak and Dexter, GT, FF, GOW, etc. Games like these are what made the Playstation brand popular anyway, so why not ride the wave of what brought you this success in the first place? One these games have brought you some sales, THEN lure these returning consumers and new ones into NEW ips.

- Offer bundles with their highest selling software, and include some kind of deal like free points for download in Sony's digital marketplace with purchase.

awh :3

I'd redesign it to look like a 3DS, flip top style, and price it at $149 with a memory stick and some PSN games. I'd market it to kids and put out TV ads with kids playing Angry Birds on it.
