This isn't really a question worthy of it's own thread .

With Pokémon Gen 6 confirmed now, 3DS is going to obliterate all opposition: probably 4-5 to 1 in 3DS's favour. And it would've already been 3-4 to 1 anyways, with Monster Hunter and Dragon Quest and the rest of the unbelievable line-up this year.

I gotta say, Tearaway looks pretty good at least. I'd like to play that and it could see it doing pretty decent too saleswise. This and Uncharted are the two Vita games I intend to play one day.

The new Pokemon will cement this gen as the gen we went back to total Nintendo handheld domination, with one platform to cater to everyone's handheld gaming tastes. Just like my childhood with GBC and Pokemon Silver. I couldn't be happier about what's happening in the handheld market. (And starters and legendaries that doesn't look terrible for once, yay to that!)

Now if they would only release a 3DS with acceptable battery life so I could play the damn thing.

You could do what I did and buy a battery pack.  It is easy to install and doubles the battery life, which is pretty decent.

edit: I should also mention that it doesn't cost very much either.

If that`s what bothers you, buy a battery extension. From Nykko, for example^^

Nintendo will most likely release a 3DS Lite which will likely extend battery life :)

I was pretty confident that the 3DS would dominate the Vita this year regardless of the releases, but with Pokemon X/Pokemon Y releasing in October, I think "dominate" is an understatement.

Throw in Sly Cooper, KIll Zone Mercenary, Soul Sacrifice, Tearaway, Phantasy star online, probably forgetting something and this is with out any other games waiting to be announced.
