It does seem that the Anime is starting to come to an end in Japan and that usually means a new Gen but... It's too soon. Maybe they'll do a crossover?
Have Ash and co. (From the BW series) end up in Hoenn? Maybe that'll prolong the Anime long enough for a totally new game.

No joke, this might become my first game for the 3DS if it does come out considering the fact that every single Nintendo portable that I bought, the first game was always a mainline Pokemon game lol.

It has been. Black and White came out September 2010 in Japan and March 2011 in America/Europe. That's around what other Pokemon games have been. It should be approx. 3 years if it's coming out Q3 2013 in Japan.

Gen 1 -> Gen 2: approx. 3 years

Gen 2 -> Gen 3: approx. 3 years

Gen 3 -> Gen 4: approx. 4 years

Gen 4 -> Gen 5: approx. 4 years

This is getting exciting. That symbol should either mark a poison or shadow type. What I'm intrested in is what is written on tha logo.

Well a generation so far has been over 3 years long and this is only a little over 2 years. I don't see them announcing a game that will not release until 2014 right now. Someone mentioned they are about done with the league in the anime but they can cover the stuff in B/W2, much like they did the battle fronteir for Emerald.

I can go out on limb, not that far and say it is probably the Wii U version of Coliseum/Battle Revolution going to be announce since there isn't one for Gen 5 yet. I will be going out further on the limb and say they will almost totally by-pass physical and release it digitally and in almost all market this quarter. I think it will be a quick release window because it seems that all markets are getting a form of the announcement on Tuesday. As pointed out elsewhere they have all the 3D models done, for the Pokedex on the 3DS. And I don't see a Battle Revolution type game taking up that much space, even if they flesh it out.
