Sony and MS fans flaming each other en masse in certain threads. Because mods are unpaid volunteers, and are more than one person, some late/inconsistent decisions were made. But it isn't mods' job to make people post nice.

It's simply that saying "Defense Force" in and of itself is not necessarily worthy of moderation. For instance, in classicgamingwizz's case, he stepped out and made derogatory comments about the Microsoft fanbase, but in my mind "Defense Force" is just another term for fanbase, and does not have a pejorative enough connotation to merit action all on its own.

The problem with PJams' ban has to do with the site's internal clock and how a 1-day ban is set to expire the next day, and not actually 24 hours from the point the ban is initiated. So if you get a 1-day ban at 2311 GMT, you're really only up for a 49-minute ban before the thing resets to 0000.

Another site bug to be addressed in the future.

As for the mod staff I think they aren't good but for different reasons. They usually don't put the post they are modding into context. Usually dont take into consideration what influenced the post they are modding. finally, I believe they could choose different moderation techniques other than warn/ban that would be as effective.

I dont think they have a deep seeded bias like some are claiming. The ones claiming that are the bias ones. As for SDF and MDF - SDF was a term to be derogatory towards sony fans due to a stupid satire website. It was like using the N word for black people. MDF has no conotation to it. Though both are enforced as they should be.

come on kowenicki. youve been here long enought o know better. The history of a poster has always been used to determine bans for any faction. Next time he will get a 3 day ban and a 7 day ban after that and a 10 day after that. Thats their system. Thats how they choose to do it. Thats what you have been aware of for a while now
