Amazed how close the PS360 versions are to each other, guess the lack of 360 footage might be confusing some gta followers.

I'm not surprised at all. When it comes to GTA, Ps3 sells just about as much as 360. Check GTA 4 as an example.

Compared to the likes of COD, which is almost a 2:1 ratio for the 360 over the Ps3.

huh?

Sorry I was referring to American sales only. But you get the idea that COD sells better on the 360.

Currently own:

  • Ps4

Currently playing: Witcher 3, Walking Dead S1/2, GTA5, Dying Light, Tomb Raider Remaster, MGS Ground Zeros

Anyone else think that We Need to Talk About the numbers for Gears of War: Judgment?

Seriously, though, how can that be right? Any theories? I'm having a hard time believing that's accurate. Let's see if Microsoft really kicks in the advertising soon.

I see Metal Gear Rising, Anarchy Reigns and God of War in the charts but no DmC, are pre orders that low or Capcom is not releasing any numbers?

I can understand MGR and Ascension being higher. Both GOW3 and MGS4 sold more as PS3 exclusives then DMC4 did across multiple platforms. But Anarchy Reigns charting consistently for weeks while DmC preorders haven't is much more telling, and not in a good way.

This is happening despite AR not getting nearly the amount of glowing press coverage, trailers, ads, and features as DmC has. Indeed, I haven't seen much of anything about AR in the gaming press for a while. Yet despite the fact that both are coming out just a week apart, AR has been consistently ahead for almost a month despite falling off the radar. Unless something changes in the next few weeks, this is shaping up to be a wholesale rejection of Ninja Theory's reboot from the core action heads that should be it's main audience.

We'll just have to see what happens, I guess.

:D

It was only recently that retailers have began taking pre-orders Gears of War: Judgment.

Delicious numbers for God of War Ascension!
Disappointing numbers in Gears of War Judgement.
Bioshock infinite shaping up to be the biggest release in series. Still huge on 360.
Don't really understand luigi numbers without a release date.... I guess a bunch of 5-10 year olds want to preorder.
Last of Us going to be BIG.
Decent numbers for sly cooper. Hopefully it has legs. Same for Ni No Kuni.

Thanks Gil with the fast post :)

Wtf bunch of 5-10 year olds? Luigi's Mansion preorders aren't from little kids...

Last of Us and GoWA numbers are meh.

You are entitled to your opinion just as I am entitiled to mine. In my opinion, Luigi's Mansion for 3DS is a casual game aimed at casual gamers who are in the 5-10 age range. You disagree, and that's cool.

Have a good day sir.

Please aknowledge that it is not all opinions that are good. Luigi's Mansion has a powerful and loyal fanbase because the Gamecube iteration was quite a success. That's why its preorders are higher without any release date than the likes of Last of Us and God of War.

That's the point of an opinion is it not? I simply stated what I thought lol. This doesn't need to turn into a Nintendo vs Sony fan fight.
The bottom line is I think it's preorders are high because, since it's a casual game, most of the ones interested don't know much about release dates. They simply see the game and tell their parents that it looks cool, therefore preordering it.

Key words: I THINK, MY OPINION

So you think casual = for kids? Ok...

Any video game is for kids.

That is what I was just thinking. Retailers started talking pre-orders before or after the release of Halo 4. If that is the case, than that is not bad for something that has only been out for pre-orders for a month or so. While GOW:A has been available for Preorder right after the E3 showing in 2012. I think.

God of war, and aliens colonial marines. I a tad excited!

I see God Of war selling better due to the MP that is being added and from what I have seen from the beta, it's worth the addition to the single-player, which adds to the replay value. And with replay value, that means the game won't be traded in a quickly.

I have always been a Gears fan and I can't wait for the release. I think the pre-order numbers are low, now, because it looks like it's going down the same route ODST went. Still, I sure the MP will be great and the SP will be great to play with others. That is if they keep the co-op in the SP.

Well GOW:Ascension have lower pre-orders then GOW 3 :/. But hopefully it will gain more and more and close the gap closer to releaase when they have showed some more SP.

I say this almost everytime, but no one ever acknowledges it.

GTA 5 going to be big.
