If a game sells 1m and the budget wasn't ridiculous (as XIII-2's wasn't, they had the tech there), it's going to get a sequel. Why would they turn down guaranteed money?
I dunno about sales wise, but I definitely want to see what happens after the cliffhanger ending of XIII-2. I am emotionally invested now!
Idk, I will probably buy both XIII-2 and XIII-3 used eventually. But SE seems to be in the mindset that if they make bad games like XIII and XIV then they got to release more of the same series to try and get back their pride.
Most of the fanbase wants Final Fantasy Versus XIII more than anything.
some people bought a PS3 just for that when they announced it. I know some kids that just started High School around that time, and now they in College and the game still not out yet. You can't trust Square Enix!
I agree that 13-2 was a lot better than 13 but I think that the final fantasy 13 entry in a whole was average at best and should have never reaped a squeal let alone a trilogy.
They should focus there time more on versus and leave 13 to die.

Well, considering they claim Final Fantasy Versus XIII is still happening and there might be a Star Ocean being on announced Tuesday night, I'm not so sure you need to worry about it. Besides, I'm personally looking forward to it.
