I lol'd then I thought about final fantasy music games being outrageous.... then I remember I've a save file in Theatrhythm final fantasy with about 50 hours in it :D dammit.

Wow. Lot of SO fans in here. I found 3 & 4 absolutely dreadful, but each to their own I guess. Hope this one captures some of the magic of the first two.

If done right. I could get behind a MMO. I'm not sure if Tri-Ace would have the budget to do that sort of thing though.

3 was, IMO, a 9/10 game purely because the battle system was so awesome (one of the best out there) and the music was great too (dat jazz/rock Mission to Deep Space and other tracks). The story/characters were nothing that memorable (barring the infamous plot twist) but I didn't care because it was really fun to play and there was good music while playing it.

Did you play Valkyrie Profile 2? Also a great game but without a bad story and character (still not great but the game was decent in those aspects, and also great in the gameplay/music department).


It's one of my personaly favorites. One of the rare few I would award a 10/10. The plot twist was just..............DAMN.

No, I haven't played VP2 actually.

I can see where you're coming from about SO3.  In places, the battle system was good.  I only spent about 20 hours in the game before I'd had enough, but I can imagine that the battle system would be one that gets better as the game went on.

But really man, Fayt.  I thought Tidus was bad, but Fayt really infuriated me.

Perhaps I should give it another go one day.  It's about 5 years since I last played it, might have grown to like it a little more since then.

Come on, let it be star ocean. Till the end of time and first departure are awesome. I've got Last hope for my PS3 on my Gamefly Q so I'm playing that over winter break. This would be awesome news.

I'm seriously going to be enraged if this is just ios trash. My confidence in SE has been dwindling a lot lately, and if they mess with another one of my favorite series i'm going to go insane.
