Halo 4 should get GOTY and since it wasn't nominated I have no respect for the VGA's this year. Mass Effect 3 would be my second choice. No Halo 4 nomination is a crime that should be punishable by low ratings.

OT: The Walking dead, hands down. It is just such an emotional rollercoaster if you like a good drama. The game isn't for everyone but goddamn does it make you tense. Everytime there is a timed decision or you gotta choose a side, I feel like just turning off the game cause I know I'm gonna say or do the wrong thing and clementine will remember that shit....she always does o_o The game is just powerfully told and you will relate to at least one of the characters and when they died, you're gonna feel it.

I kinda wanted to try journey because of all the good reviews and critical acclaim it has gotten but i don't know if I wanna spend money on a 3 hour game just yet.

The only one out of those that I've played is Dishonored. Great game, perhaps GotY material but I wouldn't have any basis for comparisons with the others.

Halo 4.

Oh, it is not listed. Mass effect 3 then.

Not shocked by the polls on vgchartz. Very typical haha

I.... don't really know going off that list to be honest.

I've yet to personally play it myself, but if I were doing GOTY voting, the first game i'd of played would be Spec Ops: The Line.

From the sound of it... it'd when by far depending on your criteria on whether game of the year should be based on fun or "art".

If it's just art? Then whatever game the most people had fun with. (which actually probably isn't one of those games but some enhanced for of Angry birds or something.)

For me it's between Journey and The Walking Dead. I still haven't decided which though! The Walking Dead is fresh in my mind, Journey might need another play-through.

Dishonored is my GOTY...well kinda, alongside Xenoblade and Kid Icarus

Walking Dead or Dishonored.

I can't say Journey not because its a PSN game but because its so short. Different or not the effort put into the game is but a small fraction of the heavy retail titles. For a downloadable title with a small budget to get GOTY would completely undermine the large dev teams who put a ton more work into their games.

Also again, bad form not nominating Halo 4.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

It hasn't been a great year for my taste, being Mass Effect 3 the only game I'd score with a 9 or higher, so that's my GOTY. I haven't played Journey and it might be great, but I think if it wins, it'd be an insult to developers who put time and effort to offer gaming experiencies who last 10 to 100 or hours of quality gameplay. It could possibly be the best "experience" but this can't qualify as best GAME imo.

You couldn't imagine a 20 min movie winning the Oscar for best movie or a 30 sec song winning the Best Song grammy, could you?
