Insomniac haven't really made too many franchises. Overstrike came out way back when on PSX. Don't know what they did before. Spyro is currently owned by Activision. Ratchet and Clank, Resistance is owned by Sony. Not sure what's going to happen with Fuse.

As much as I love there's guys, but their recent work hasn't been that great. I think they need to lock them selfs in the office tune out the out side world and develop a new game. Forget the trends and what everyone else is doing. Do something fresh.

If Insomniac fail with Fuse, they will be near bankruptcy and hence very cheap for Sony to buy. Insomniac's IP, brand and remaning talent are still valuable to Sony, and since Kaz is Sony's CEO he has the means to make it happen.

Insomniac games, of any quality, appearing on the competition will be damaging to PS3's exclusive branding.
