guy posted some link, started a 5 page discussion (so far), good job, keep things busy? As for copying an entire article, I think that is a bad thing, your essentially stealing hits from a website, perhaps part of an article and click for the rest, but still.

No he didn't copy the article, he WROTE all of that himself.

Since it's ok by the mods, who even cares, a topic, whether he himself wrote it or someone else, and caused decent discussion, why get worked up about it?

If he's post and running he is basically using vgchartz as free advertizing. I don't think he should be allowed to do that. However, the mods say it's okay so i'll drop it.

Back on topic, ted price really needs to start getting creative talent again.

My issue is.... essentially he is just using vgchartz for hits/advertizement. He isn't being an active member of the community by posting and bailing on his own threads.

By your standards, but 7 pages of discussion on a topic (lets call it 6 with 1 complaining about him, etc) thats a pretty good contribution to a site, more pages, more comments, more ad views, etc, etc. In anycase, it is a pointless thing to argue about, I don't think it matters so long as its not spam, and if no one replied to the posts they wouldn't get any attention.

He needs to stop claiming that someone else wrote it, or stop linking to the external site he's probably getting ad revenue from with each click.

Calling it an article gives it undue credence.

Maybe as a compromise mods should edit out the links from the threads.

I'd say Sony is not interested after Resistance 2 and 3

If Sony is to acquire some developer, it has to be Quantic Dream or Tarsier(LBP Vita)

BTW, Fuse looks so generic.

That would be fantastic.

I dont think a boyout of Quantic Dream is a good idea. Quantic Dream is verry dependant on David Cage and his writing and if he would leave whats left? They already own the Havy rain and beyond ip anyway i think.

Tarsier or ready at dawn would be the better choice (though i would wait a bit on tarsier and see what else they are capable of)

And OT i don't think a bouyot of insomniac would be a good idea given their recent performance.... Not saying the games are bad but the money would better be invested in someting that could give them a better return.

Edit: Actually if they were to buy another studio i think i'd rather they buy a japanese one. They'd do well to get a stronger footing there.

I think that their dev capacity is more important than the IPs (Heavy Rain, Beyond). They do games that simply don't allow sequels, so it's more important to  have the guys that make these kind of games than owning the IPs.

based on insomniac's more recent work...i'd say it is in sony's best interest not to buy them.

??? Resistance 3 is one of the best shooters of this gen.

PS3 gamers disagree.

1 Resistance: Fall of Man PS3 2006 Shooter Sony Computer Entertainment 1.56 1.67 0.14 0.71 4.09
2 Resistance 2 PS3 2008 Shooter Sony Computer Entertainment 1.10 0.78 0.10 0.36 2.34
3 Resistance 3 PS3 2011 Shooter Sony Computer Entertainment 0.51 0.46 0.05 0.20 1.22

to be honest I don't think that's because the PS3 gamers disagree, but more because RFOM was the first shooter you could buy for the PS3, so therefore the numbers are way high. The bad luck R3 had was the release date. From what I remember in August we already had Deux and in November MW3, Uncharted3 etc etc. So as the user base of R2 wasn't very big anymore R3 sold even lower. But I must say that R3 in single player was the best version of the three, but in multiplayer they also missed out the coop game like in R2. I really missed that option in R3!

Might be true but i'd still say that david cage is one of quantic dreams biggest assets and since sony cant really own him i see no point in buying them out.
If they just wanted dev capacity it would probably be cheaper to just expand one of their existing studios.

I cant really say anyting about the knowledge about makeing this kind of games since i haven't played haevy rain (though i might get it if i enjoy beyond) but my guess is that other studios should be able to replicat that since from what i've heard the gameplay mecanics sould't really be that challenging and motion capture is now donne by practicly every bigger studio.

I don't want to downplay the value/greatness of quantic dream to me it just seems that a lot of it is dependant on  certain people and since there is no guarantee for sony they can keep these people the question is, is it worth the money your paying for it...
