based on insomniac's more recent work...i'd say it is in sony's best interest not to buy them.

??? Resistance 3 is one of the best shooters of this gen.

PS3 gamers disagree.

1	Resistance: Fall of Man	PS3	2006	Shooter	Sony Computer Entertainment	1.56	1.67	0.14	0.71	4.09
2	Resistance 2	PS3	2008	Shooter	Sony Computer Entertainment	1.10	0.78	0.10	0.36	2.34
3	Resistance 3	PS3	2011	Shooter	Sony Computer Entertainment	0.51	0.46	0.05	0.20	1.22

to be honest I don't think that's because the PS3 gamers disagree, but more because RFOM was the first shooter you could buy for the PS3, so therefore the numbers are way high. The bad luck R3 had was the release date. From what I remember in August we already had Deux and in November MW3, Uncharted3 etc etc. So as the user base of R2 wasn't very big anymore R3 sold even lower. But I must say that R3 in single player was the best version of the three, but in multiplayer they also missed out the coop game like in R2. I really missed that option in R3!
