Very well produced. I love this series and love letters like this do get to me. Thank you so much for posting this link.

The music at the very end (Kingdom Hearts music) makes me think that the fact they even decided to use that may be because they are planning to do one for Kingdom Hearts as well. What do you guys think?

Yes though i think that stoy is so convoluted its gonna be had to explain.

Awesome.

I am not a fan but still watched the video and I am even more confused now.

if after Ocarina of time link was sent to the past, how the hell there is an adult link timeline? And also if in order to be sent back in time link had to defeat Ganon, how would be possible for link to be defeated by him?? and if he was defeated how the hell in that time line there is another link?

I am really confused.

If you haven't played the games you will never understand it. I have played every Zelda game (excluding CD-i) and this timeline still confuses me a little lol.

Anyway amazing video, the music was perfect and it explains the games and the timeline very well, big probs to the guys who put the effort in making this video. Can't wait for Hyrule Historia!!

It is called the Adult timeline because that's the timeline where Adult Link did everything he did (gathering all the Sages). He defeats Ganon and is sent back to being a child. The Adult timeline is one where Adult Link essentially disappears, since he was sent back as a child. So Ganon stays defeated and Adult Zelda is still there, but Adult Link is gone. So essentially, that timeline starts after Ganon is defeated and Adult Link is sent back, and essentially erased, but everything he did still happened. As for the fallen hero timeline, Link was never sent back in time in that timeline. He was killed by Ganon, and that timeline continues with Ganon taking over Hyrule until he was overthrown. And the Link that defeats him later in that timeline is a new Link, not the same one, just like how it's technically a new Zelda each time, and how there are different Ganons.

That's my attempt at trying to explain. Hope it helped. :P

The video says that because of Ocarina of time, 3 time lines are generated, but I dont understand the explanation.    The younger link time line I understand, because it is the time line that continues the exact events that happened in the end of Ocarina of time, from a Link perspective.

The adult link time follows the events of Ocarina of time, but from the perspective of princess Zelda.  What I dont understand here is if Link was sent to the past, how the hell there is another link in that time line for the following games?  In the video it even says that they were expecting for time travelling hero to come back, but he did not, and yet there is character named link WTF?!  it does not make sense for me at least.

And finally if Link was sent to the past, and therefore he defeated Ganon, (because if not he would not be able to go back in time), how can he be beated by Ganon then? And If Link is dead in that time line how there is another Link in the following games in that time line??

Considering some plot holes in the video, I dont think playing the games would make any difference.    But if you know some of the answers to the questions I have written, do you care to share them? :D

1) I know link is not there, because he was sent back in time, but how is it possible for the following games in that timeline to have a character named Link then? According to the bolded, it is just another dude that is named Link? ¬_¬

2) So the time line was divided before the time travel stuff? I would expect a time line to get divided because of time travel, but now, considereing they have done this, they can create as much time lines as they want to in order to fit whatever story they do. I think that does not have much sense at all D:

I though Link was always the same Link.    But most of the Ganons are the same Ganon in different events according to the video.

Thanks for the explanation, even though it does not make much logical sense either :P

Technically, he is whatever you name him.  Link is only the default name.  He just happens to be someone with the same blood as the originals.

2) So the time line was divided before the time travel stuff? I would expect a time line to get divided because of time travel, but now, considereing they have done this, they can create as much time lines as they want to in order to fit whatever story they do. That was actually said in the video about how there can be countless more Zelda games because of that.

I though Link was always the same Link.    But most of the Ganons are the same Ganon in different events according to the video.

I believe in the video, they said that Ganon is essentially a reincarnation.

Thanks for the explanation, even though it does not make much logical sense either :P

The games still take place in the same universe, but by playing with time Zelda created a time paradox. So even if the Adult Link timeline "doesn't have" a Link anymore, that Link could reborn since it's the same universe, in this timeline Link didn't reborn to save Hyrule before the flood but he did reborn after those events (Wind Waker)

The Hero's defeated timeline is very weird. It still takes place in the same universe but alongside the Adult Link in Ocarina of Time. I believe this is more of a "what if" scenario more than a time paradox like the other timelines. It still created a different timeline but the circumstances didn't have time involved.
