I think the pic in the OP is a better representation of reality ;o

Once I found PC gaming, things were never the same.

True.

Agree with every one of them. I've recently built a gaming PC and I'm really into it, I now game on my PC as much as my PS3 and 360, but I still prefer console gaming. I still prefer having a dedicated platform that is built for gaming only, with a controller that I can use on the sofa while staring at the big TV, with a more polished and reliable experience, and with all those huge console exclusives.

You can do all that with a PC man.

Steam sales are amazing. Without the Steam sales I would barely have a library on my PC.

If you have a laptop like me, then upgrading parts like the GPU isn't exactly an option.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

Yes, you can build a PC from the ground up just for gaming. You could make it way more powerful than anything current gen. The benefit of the operating system is that it allows you to do other things as well.

I used to be an avid pc gamer but nowadays I just want to play games and not bother with anything else.

I go back to pc gaming now and then and it is a lot easier to enjoy pc on the big screen nowadays thanks to hdmi. However my pc doesn't fit in with the rest of my av equipment, needs a lot of cables to operate, limited to stereo on hdmi, takes longer to start up with plenty of extra steps to go through to launch a game and internet (porn) is always only 1 alt-tab away. I simply get more gaming done on a console. My backlog of steam sales games says it all really.

I'll get back to pc end of 2014 if Star citizen delivers. Looks like a good reason for an upgrade.

Technically, it is feasible.

You can use the 360 controller for a ton of games, then it all comes down to connecting the PC on the living room in a big screen.
