Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Forza Horizon Tanking Just a Month After Release

I love forza and this is a grwat game that has done solid in sells and metacritic however Ill be passing on this game because of features they didnt include like the auction house. Still $15 looks pretty nice although Im not in the mood for racing right now. When I am Ill likely just stick with Forza 4 the best racer

So the Forza franchise is going under already?? Sucks to here that..

Gamestop $59.99

Amazon $34.99($59.99 regular)

Best Buy $34.99($59.99 regular)

FRYS $59.99

Target $59.99(comes with $20 GC)

In fact the only store selling Horizon super cheap is the Microsoft store

i am a forza fan and bought forza 1,2,3 and 4 but didn't buy this. the map is just too small for an open world racer and since i'm more a fan of "real" racing games on real race tracks only a really big map would have convinced me to buy it and i think many people have this or other reasons why they didn't buy it. they just should stay with the normal forza series and the other team should do something different like a really arcadey game or whatever and not a game not interesting for arcade fans and not interesting for sim fans.

So this one is super flop i guess?

Racing games in general aren't doing well. If you're game doesn't have the main character equipping a gun, then don't expect to sell a lot of copies, albeit there are a few exceptions. Even Gran Turismo 5 didn't do so well when compared to the other GT games. The difference is that 9 million in sales is still pretty damn beast when matched up against other racing franchises/games. Not to mention that the popularity of Forza is decreasing. Forza 3 sold 5.1m whereas Forza 4 sold 2.65m and now Forza Horizon...yeah. I blame Call of Duty for the increase in popularity of shooters! =P

^You will see Forza 4 around 4m after this holiday,as Forza's usual

Dont worry, it will sell well next Year when Microsoft give it away with a Million 360's.

Yea you have to give Forza 4 some time to sell but then again it's usually the Sony games that have the crazy legs so idk

But Im pretty sure that MS will bundle Forza 4 to 4-5 million though.. And Forza Horizon to like 3 million

But whatever though..

Forza Horizon online is more expensive. gotta go to the store to get it.
I think the stores are selling this very popular game to draw customers into the store.
I would get one for $15, but the nearest microsoft store is 25 miles away.
