They might as well start using Symbian in their phones if they are going to use IOS. Not to mention it will never happen of course.

Z and ZL are not the only new Xperias, they'll be announcing new phones at MWC with 4,3" screens.

This year is gonna be good.

I know... that because I said

Sony still have Symbian phones? Because Sony had a lot of Symbian phones in the past.

Well, the emphasis is in the first part. The second part is just there to stop people quoting me to explain why Apple won't license IOS etc.

I don't think Sony is manufacturing anything other than Android phones. They said they will phase out feature phones to focus on smartphones long ago.

100% correct Sony only makes, smartphones full feature was phased out over a year ago, also Sony was one of the first companies that are part of the open handset alliance! it would be very unlikely they concentrate on anyother Mobile smartphone OS right now or in the near furture other than Android.

I AM BOLO

ps:

Proud psOne/2/3/p owner.  I survived Aplcalyps3 and all I got was this lousy Signature.

Just shows doesn't it 3rd place..... with a meagre 5.2%

Samsung utterly dominate smartphones right now.

But still a lot better than those Windows smartphones isn't it. Give it a couple years and Sony will rival Samsung. They already got the better phone in the Xperia T and V.

Oops a daisy.

not quite on the bolded

and lol... all Windows phones > Sony easily and Microsoft branded windows phones alone will soon be > Sony  (smartphones, obviously ms sell many millions more phones than Sony already)

well, well, well.. who'd have thought it huh?

Well the last quarter it was 9.3 million Microsoft/Nokia lumia's and 9.9 million Sony smart phones.

2 years is a loooong time in the mobile space..
at least Sony knows were the competition is

"The Chinese smartphone manufacturers have made great strides and are expanding outside their own market, and this has caused a shift in the pricing," he said. "Meanwhile, Apple and other manufacturers are launching strong, innovative products. The changes are very rapid and dramatic."

"We have to be in the competitive landscape in the next stage and be ready for that evolution," Hirai said.

China will own the mobile space.. even Samsung is starting to suffer a bit

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

correct.

soon they wil pass sony.

but you do know other people make windows phones?

Not many anymore, Samsung and HTC have released only 1 each in the last year.  Most WP's are Nokia/Microsoft now or from small China/India/Pakistan firms even the big Chinese OEM's don't bother with WP anymore.

Surprising that Sony beat HTC. When are the general public going to learn that HTC make the best smartphones.
