I own them all and love them all.  Being a fanboy hurts you more than anyone else.

btw...my Wii U is sitting in my entertainment center along with my 360 & PS3 and they are all getting along just fine ;)

haha

Agreed @your first sentence.

Seriously there is no need in being a fanboy of any company. It is just a company, just enjoy the games. Ive never understood the logic behind fanboys so yes play some games on the WiiU

The Wii still doesn't interest me at all though, it's the older Nintendo games I'm interested in. And now that the graphics are actually bearable on a Nintendo console, there may actually be some good Mature games.

Well for my wife I would buy it but for me only? no since like you said I would be to busy to have time to play every game for each system and it would just sit their. Actually this is my situation with my PS3 and 360 i never use my PS3, only to watch crunchyroll and I use my 360 a lot more.

The reason I stay away from Wii this gen is due to hardware, the resulting software issues because of that, and the UI. I stay away from the 360 because of Xbox live and the UI.

I wonder what makes the PS3 UI so great to you?  It doesn't seem like anything special to me.  It is just a drop down list from the main categories.

I consider myself a Nintendo fanboy, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy other companies games. Nintendo is and will always be my fav company, but I like all games so I can't focused on one company alone.

Gamer first, Nintendo fanboy second.

Well fandom to the point of isolationism doesn't do you any favors, but dedication to one platform has its perks like consolidation of funds and interactivity between various devices such as the PS3 PSP PSV and soon to be PS4. The reason I stay away from Wii this gen is due to hardware, the resulting software issues because of that, and the UI. I stay away from the 360 because of Xbox live and the UI. I've owned a PS3, Vita, DS, PS2, Xbox, GBA, PS, N64, Genesis, Gameboy, NES, and an Atari 2600. Sony though provides me with the overall benefit for my dollar and I tend to lean their way, and for good reasons.

I wouldn't mind having a Wii U myself, it looks pretty good, but I'd rather spend my money elsewhere, not because I'm blind to other gaming companies. It's never good to force yourself out of something, but it isn't good to get something for the sake of diversity if it challenges your over return on value.

Paying half in for a Wii U sounds like a good deal if you're up to sharing. If you want it and have the money do it. If you don't have the cash and it would be best spent on your current hardware do that, though its for a girl so the choice is probably already made :D

Correction on bolded; "the reason I stayed away from Wii last gen".

Wii U Nintendo Network ID, Borode

XBOX Live ID, Borode

Fan boys are quite often the way they are because they could only afford to get one console, and need to justify that purchase to themselves and to others (don't ask me why they feel the need; it's a mystery to me).

You'll generally notice quite many (not all, mind you) people who own all the various systems don't tend to be fan boys because there is no need to be (as they get the best of every world). The only system I don't own is an Xbox 360, mainly because I could not justify the purchase without more in the way of exclusives being available on the console, but I do miss playing all the new Gears of War and Halo titles. And I did love my old last-gen Xbox even though it was huge in size :)

Edited to correct crappy typing :P

Selfless me wants to say "Yes" because you'll have access to a wide array of spectacular games old and new.
Selfish me wants to say "No" because if you become less of Sony fan, you might stop making entertaining threads with impossible predictions.

Signature goes here!

Leaving fanboyism is like being born again. I'd say do it, but I have to ask this first: what happens if you two break up? Who gets the Wii U? That's the real question.
