Fan boys are quite often the way they are because they could only afford to get one console, and need to justify that purchase to themselves and to others (don't ask me why they feel the need; it's a mystery to me).
You'll generally notice quite many (not all, mind you) people who own all the various systems don't tend to be fan boys because there is no need to be (as they get the best of every world). The only system I don't own is an Xbox 360, mainly because I could not justify the purchase without more in the way of exclusives being available on the console, but I do miss playing all the new Gears of War and Halo titles. And I did love my old last-gen Xbox even though it was huge in size :)
