Forums - Gaming Discussion - Nokia Lumia 920: Sold out in most regions of the world

It's really too bad the 920 is only on AT&T. If it would have been released for T-Mobile I could have gotten that instead of settling for the SIII

Nokia shares up 5% yesterday.

Nokia shares up 8.5% so far today.

They must be happy as a ... right now!

About time Nokia ft Windows paid off for them.

Huh? Has this thing been released? I had no idea, I thought it was out next year.

Anyway, I'm glad for Nokia and Windows Phone! It looks fantastic.

Downplay all you want.  Windows 8 phone will double MS marketshare within a year easily.

I absolutely agree. But what exactly does this have to with the Lumia 920 sales this thread appears to be about?

High Lumia 920 sales = higher marketshare for MS

Nokia have always made great phones. The problem with them was they fell behind on software the built in features more so then hardware design.

HTC 8x is also in high demand...according to Goldman Sachs.

After holding them both in hand, I honestly don't know which one of these is better. Lumia 920 is more feature rich, but HTC feels and looks better.

They all suck on a dollar per feature kind of basis compared to android, that's why they have greater marketshare right now, bc in the end, people care about what they're getting. For their money

I see them offering $0 plans. A nice option for people tired of Android and Apple

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

subjective...

but so does the iPhone, doing well though isnt it.

If you want cheap ass, dollar per feature products, buy android.

iPhone thrived when it first came out, but it's competitors have slowly dominated the iPhone now in terms of market share and even number of different apps for sale.

The iPhone dominates in bulk of digital sales of course, but slowly, this is becoming less so, and may even get to the point where it is number two for sales of downloads and apps.

With respect to your comment on android, that is just your subjective opinion now, isn't it?  And I'll draw you an analogy from gaming, as Nintendo has both cheaper pricing and lower quality specs, but has dominated in total sales, so think about that kowen.

Ok, so which product marketing strategy is working better so far? Which is gaining market share faster?
