More N64 and GC titles! Give us a bigger 3rd Party selection of N64 titles. Maybe even the DD games.

Yeah, the lack of N64 games really bugged me. I hope they don't skimp on GCN games like they did N64.

They didn't offer many of those because of the file size issues.  That no longer being the case, N64 games make an appearance much more often.

Is that the reason? I thought it was because the N64 is a bitch to emulate. Shoot, the collective powers of the internet community still can't get half the games to run in playable fashion, let alone in a manner good enough to make them worth paying for.

I'm sure that's another factor as well but the file size thing was a real sticking point with all of Nintendo's online services on the Wii.

As long as we eventually get GameCube games, I'm happy.

+1000 points if Nintendo does an "HD Classics" line of games.

Indeed.  Being able to play Wind Waker, Metroid Prime and Rogue Leader in 720p widescreen would be pure bliss.

Metroid Prime HD... Wouldn't that, like, break the awesomeness barrier or something?

Nope, because the game is great as it is. By the way, I am never sure if I can respect gamers who are constantly asking for HD updates. It always seems to come with the stench of "I can't get myself to play this game again, unless it gets an update".

I think it's more about not wanting to replay it if the game looks awful on an HDTV, which a lot of SD games do.

What's the big deal anyway? N64 games on the Wii VC had an increase in resolution and looked marginally sharper too.

If Nintendo is likely going to ask for $9.99-$19.99 for GameCube VC games, then hell yes. I want some effort put into bringing them up to 720p at least.

Nintendo fans have bent over for years now paying Nintendo premium prices for ROM dumps, without even having basic options like being able re-map buttons.

Huh, i was kind of hoping the feature would be there day one, so that i could do their "migration" feature or whatever it is while my Wii is still out, as its going away (and once i get a damn fucking job and move out, my GameCube will be out, but until they i don't have the space to bring the old GC back out.)

Sorry, more of my inner thoughts are leaking out...

I did notice that they made you do a Wii update when visiting the Wii Shop Channel a few days ago. I suppose this update is just another "counter" against the homebrewers/hacked systems?  I don't see any info about the recent update on their update history page.

They do it rather often, but the worse update can do is to delete Homebrew Channel, which is not an issue if your Wii is already soft-modded (there're dozen of ways you could birng homebrew back, like exploits, or personally I do have entire NAND backup and could restore my Wii at any point or unmod it by myself like it never been hacked). On top of all, there's really not a single reason for visiting Wii Shop anymore, if there was a reason, I'd probably never bothered to softmod my Wii.

So they've finally confirmed my suspicions. Great.

Sorry Nintendo, but I won't transfer my Wii to the Wii app just yet.
