Attention all Nintendo gamers.

Lately I've grown tired of the way threads in the Nintendo section have progressed.   A topic is started, it's quality disucssion for 3-4 posts and then someone steps in wearing a giant "Feed Me" sign around their neck while bashing Nintendo for soemthing.  Naturally, Nintendo fans take up the honor of defending Nintendo and the thread eventually no longer resembles the original intent of the topic creator.

I propose that we rise above the pettiness they bring us down to.  I propose that we ignore them for a week.  For one week we challenge ourselves starve them.  Make them go hungry.  Our words, our topics, our discussions will not be the sustenance which strengthens their negativity.

If you take up this challenge, spread it to your fellow Nintendo brethren by linking them to this thread anytime you see them engaging in a feeding frenzy.

We used to be able to enjoy discussing our affinity towards Nintendo without the verbal battles they now entail.  Perhaps we can see those days again if we work together to stop feeding them.  By ignoring them, they may go back to their own boards and leave us in peace.

Honestly, this could go for the whole of gamrConnect. The holiday season always seems to bring out odd behavior (I suppose it has to do with the rising sales and high profile game releases), and this year is no different. Of course there's a bit more tension this year with the Wii U launching and Vita's continuing struggles...

But I'm right there with you. It seems we can't get to page two without some off-topic bait post. I'm always one that wants great discussion, so I'm definitely troubled by those who want to derail perfectly good topics. We're here to enjoy this awesome hobby of ours, not delve into pointless bickering.

Solves EVERYTHING

No, honest debate should be welcomed.   But we've not had much honest debate for quite a while.  Rather we have a topic start and quickly devolve into a messy debate because of intentional negativity for the sake of being negative.    Rather than trying to understand a situation, or learning more about it or how to address it, some just jump straight into hate mode and the thread loses all intention after that.

I say you're pretty delusional taking internet forums to that level, but I guess there are people like you out there.  But that is neither here nor there, enjoy your crusade.

Its not limited to the nintendo section someone always decides to take a dumpbin pretty much every thread....

As long as people are on topic, there is no need for this.

Now if people are truly derailing a thread, then I support this and will do it.

Edit: Can you give us an example of a thread, and the post where it got derailed? I'd like to see if there are other ways to put things back on track.

So it's delusional to want to make something better?  We should just allow ourselves to wallow in the putridness that every thread morphs into?
