Eh, I would only ever vote if there was absolutely nothing else to do, otherwise it's just a waste of my time.

Id buy the Pay-Per View
The popular vote means next to nothing in presidential races anyways, in the US. Bush won both elections but he didn't have the popular vote in either one, I don't think Clinton's second term was won by popular vote either. All that matters is the Electoral votes and depending on which state depends on how the electoral votes are awarded. The electoral votes are a call back to when the Governers and Legislative Branches use to pick the president. Since the the US isn't a democracy but a republic.

The way I see it, if you don't vote then you have no right to complain about who is in office because you didn't exercise the simplest of your rights, the right to vote. I have caught some flack from some about this belief, but it's truly how I feel about the subject. |
Even if my name were Barack Obama there would be no reason to vote, since my one vote doesn't matter. But if everybody thought this, noone would vote. This is the true reason to vote.

Bush did win the popular vote in 2004. Of course, he was running against Kerry who was about as bland as can be. Clinton won both terms with the popular vote. There have only been four times when a president won without winning the popular vote. John Q. Adams in 1824, Rutherford B. Hayes in 1876 (that election was screwy all around...), Benjamin Harrison in 1888, and of course, George W. Bush in 2000.

Ok thanks, but the point still is popular votes really doesn't matter in the presidential race. The foundng fathers knew that the worst thing you could do is have the common citizen vote since almost none of the knows what it takes to a president so it boils down to a popularity contest and who can lie the best and twist the best. (Which despite popular jokes about politic neither make a good president.
