Ok...

Back in 2012 when this thread was made, before the system even launched, I probably would have disagreed. Granted, I had a lot of reservations about the overall direction of the system, but I thought Nintendo would retain more than the next to nothing from their Wii consumer base when transitioning to the Wii U. Oh well. I'll be amazed if the system approached 20 million lifetime. Realistically, I don't think I'd put my high end estimate over 15 million.

I gave it 18 million tops, it was in my sig for over a year, and even that may have been too much.

I always thought it would do far less than the Wii, but never in a million years did I think it would do this bad, I thought 30 million tops. Shame because I prefer it to the PS4, and the gen is over in terms of competition.

To be honest, there weren't many reasons  back then to believe that the WiiU would sell under 40 million.
