What do you guys think: How much will Gravity Rush sell in its first (western) week?
one fact is:
Gravity Rush managed to sell 70,000 games for 700,000 vitas in japan, that's an attach rate of 10%.
so if you take the same attach rate for the 1,44m other vitas in the world you'd come to 144,000 copies. but you have to consider that i calculated the japanese attach rate some months after launch.
the other fact:
GR currently sits at place 49 at amazon.de in the games-category. Resistance was standing at.. well. somewhere around 130 and it sold ~50,000 ww first week.
so my guess is there will be around 70-80,000 sell-throughs for Gravity Rush ww. and i guess that numbers are OK.
One other question is "Will gravity rush push hardware?"
i think yes. vita is selling around 50,000 per week, i guess in its first week this will increase to 70,000. i am reading on several sites that people just waited for this game to come out, to have 2 major big titles along with uncharted.
