I think the reason The Last of Us has more hits right now is because it's a new IP that people were eager to see gameplay of, whereas many people already know what to expect from Halo 4; I wouldn't draw conclusions that The Last of Us will be bigger than Halo 4 because I really doubt it. With that said, I do think that there is potential for The Last of Us to at least do better than an Uncharted release, as it could draw both Uncharted fans, as well as survival/horror fans.

Honestly i still don't care about Naughty Dog or Uncharted, Or Sony America as a whole, but....

Each time this guy posts I feel like some kind of jealousy from a Microsoft employee bursting from the posts, they're just short and painful comments

It may have blown up the Internet but Sony probably wont market it well enough to surpass Halo in the mainstream. I mean everyone and their mom(hell my mom who doesn't play games anymore) knows when a Halo game is coming. I can't say the same for Uncharted and I assume they will be giving this one a similar budget to those games.

The Last of Us definitely got a HUGE boost in pre-orders especially considering it may not be coming until 2013.
One of the few examples is Amazon. It got 3,000% increase in pre-orders on Amazon the day after the E3 demo. I'm sure the boost in stores like Gamestop are much higher.

Of course Halo 4 will have more pre-orders, it is an established IP with assured success.
