The Last of Us definitely got a HUGE boost in pre-orders especially considering it may not be coming until 2013.
One of the few examples is Amazon. It got 3,000% increase in pre-orders on Amazon the day after the E3 demo. I'm sure the boost in stores like Gamestop are much higher.
Of course Halo 4 will have more pre-orders, it is an established IP with assured success.
