Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Did Microsoft just make Nintendo's Wii U tablet irrevelant?

No, Nintendo beat them to it.

NO.

Windows 8 will crash because most PC users will reject it (at least those who want to use their computers for work).
Content streaming comes at a cost. And often that is data plans, some of which have caps.
This is a lot of Microsoft smoke and mirrors.

PS -- I can already get ESPN, NBA League Pass and NHL Games -- it's call my cable box.

Nope. But they made it easy for devolopers to integrate some of the features that they use on the Wii U on the 360 as well. You can have the tablet sitting in front of you while you play your 360 games that can give part of the WIi U experience.

nope, the wii-u has made the xbox brand irrelevant.

No way. But that will be the viral marketing mantra for a while.

Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:

If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.

If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.

Not even close. The Gamepad is designed for gaming. I think that smart glass is going to be a gimmick that only applies to some games.

LOL no what if i don't have a smartphone, or a tablet... you get the point.

Considering you'd need to buy a separate tablet or phone, which most likely will come with data plans, doesn't make the Wii U irrelevant.

Is it not interesting that this thread is not talking much about games on a game machine.
Makes you wonder what Microsoft's true intention is.

i'd rather buy and ipad than a wii U. besides, i already have two iphones so i'm set!

between this, vita integration, ipad in general ... the wii U is far from U-nique and it hasn't even released yet. so irrelevant probably isn't the right word but innovative isn't the right word either.
