Wait a minute, why is he not in jail? Is it legal to say this shit in America?

Uh, really?

Freedom of speech mean anything to you? I guess you don't have that in your country. *edit* you don't. You live in Sweden, where you do send people to jail for saying things against others.

What he said was horrible, stupid, and wrong. But he shouldn't go to jail for his words. He did not say he was going to kill, nor advised anyone to kill homosexuals. Since he did not, he didn't cross the line into specific threats against people.

Unless he does that, he should still have his 1st amendment rights to make such a statement - even if it is stupid.

if he would be an islamic preacher, he would be in guantanamo now^^

No, he wouldn't.

I've seen the same thing from Islamic preachers in the US, and they didn't go to jail. Its only when you begin to start speaking out of inciting violence against others in a a very direct way that the police ever start getting involved.

don't know, first of all if an islamic preacher would call the death for all non islamic people i don't believe he wouldn't  be at least under observance from whatever institute. and i don't believe he will be under observance now but wishing non islamic or homosexuals the death isn't any difference.

and to the point you said about freedom of speech to "the1", don't know if it is good that it's allowed to bring other people to hate whole races/homosexuals/whatever. that's clearly what he is doing. people who go in this church will start to hate homosexuals because of him and i'm not sure if someone of those people won't understand it as call for violence against homosexuals.

there is a difference if you just hate them and say in a conversation that you wish those people the death or if you preach that to other people. it's like an appeal to do bad things to them even if he doesn't say exactly that. i mean, who would be so stupid to say "kill those people" if you know you will get a punishment for that? but if you formulate it a little different you can say it all the day to thousands of people? that's clearly not good, even if freedom of speech is good. i mean, he is saying to his followers "it's good if those people will die" and you can't expect that people won't understand "if you hurt them it's good because how can it be bad to punish people for their homosexuality?"

he shouldn't go to jail or something like that but these people should lose the right to be preachers. his preachings are a danger for homosexuals.

I am not a believer but I agree with those who said it is idiots like this preacher who gives christianity a bad name.

They claim to base they beliefs on christ but somehow I don't see christ saying anything like this in his day.
Judgement is suppose to be god's, not theirs. If god exist and have issues with gays let him deal with it.

Hard line Evangelical leader upsetting the politically correct crowd and creating controversy. We live under a democratic society that allows free speech. He is entitled to his view.

That pastor and his crazy american counterparts (they seem to be the source of many of these guys), play a large part in causing Christians to be characterized as hateful zealots.

These guys need to read their bible and not simply use it as a platform for hate mongering.

Damn this guy has the same suite and tie as me

He's probably gay himself. Remember, 78 % of all people who speak out against homosexuality are homosexual.

Although Christ never mentioned it, the Old Testament certainly does, and condemns it every time it is mentioned.

The problem, of course, is you're not supposed to judge yourself; you're supposed to let God judge. Religion is supposed to be separate from law.

And then there's the fact that he probably finds many things in the Bible deplorable (the right to beat and rape women and own slaves, for example), so he's just cherrypicking with this one.

DEATH?? Holy crap this guy's nuts!

Religion and choice are closely related. When answering the question of is Religion a choice one has to consider that Religious acts between consenting adults are, by definition, done by choice.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”
