Threatening I understand, but people should have every right to be a bigot and racist and spout their hateful opinions, just as you have a right to call these people exactly what they are.  The whole point of the first ammendment is to protect speech that is found offensive.  Why is there any point protected speech that isn't offensive?  Idiots like this and their hate mongering must be legally tollerated so that we are all protected from legislation that may infringe on our rights.  If you open the door to say "you can't use speech that discriminates" then that sets a precident for any speech that may be viewed as discriminatory, at the discretion of the government.

You can't legislate people's thoughts and views, and all opinions must be treated equally under the law, regardless of how repulsive we find them.

you will also find some non religious people hate gays too.

You know what's funny about this? Nobody really bats an eye when some old, balding or white-haird pastor from generations past starts ranting about the sins and evil of homosexuality. We all collectively hate it and pity the fool, but it's nothing new or special. These were the same morons who claimed that giving women the right to vote was an affront to the bible, or letting blacks in our schools was going to bring about the end-times.

I should make a church of militant atheism, wherein I'll start saying equally ignorant things like "Death to the religious" and "God hates pastors". I bet that'd get a hell of a reaction, too.

But of course, these ignorant, hateful, barbaric religious leaders are free to speak and preach whatever stupidity they want because of that pesky freedom of speech amendment bullshit. I love freedom of speech, but when your freedom to speak is only used to be hateful and bigoted, you should have that freedom revoked.

I've claimed this very same thing for years, but upon further inspection, I don't actually recall a single group or person who was agaisnt homosexuality that wasn't doing so with a religious lean to it, such as "it's a sin" or "fags are heathens" or whatever.  I Can't actually remember a single argument against homosexuality that wasn't religiously motivated. 

I'd love to be proven wrong. 

I was expecting him to be more vile than that after reading the comments. I don't find him offensive but he's unbelievably stupid if he thinks his "plan" is doable. I'm looking forward to seeing his name pop up on gayhomophobe.com someday.

The religious leader stands for family values and American conservatism. He is speaking out against homosexuality and gay marriage. Obama supports gay marriage/Civil Unions, Republicans oppose gay marriage.
