Selnor. Your Gamertag in your sig recently updated... There is no Star Wars Kinect there, at all. A few days ago, there was no Mass Effect 3. Only recently has it updated to show ME3.

Have you played Star Wars Kinect?

before motion gaming people were STILL playing multiplayer games, or are you gonna say that evey game prior to this gen is was SP?? Come on, man im just answering what you said.  Which was intially that motion gaming brought the multiplayer aspect back, which is complete crap.
as for the bolded, that has nothing to do with what you orginally said,

I said that because games today are more online multiplayer oriented or 2 players locally... not a lot of them have the ability to gather more than 2-3 people at the same time. Motion games have that ability. Even those whose turn comes next still mimmick the movements, anyway you might not understand what I mean about having fun with the whole family... anyway you may not be the target of motion games... no need to spit on it.

Now you're making up crap, I never spat on it, i just corrected your original wrong statement.  I get having fun with the whole family, but there are only so much types of games you can play in that scenario. Dance, minigame comps, the arcade sports. Nothing wrong with that, but thats just about all the Kinect and to a lesser extent motion gaming is good for IMHO and the occasional FPS/lightgun game

I never got my whole family to play around a COD or a game at all, previous gens. This gen is different thanks to motion gaming that is all. You can't possibly believe that motion gaming didn't brought non gamers to gaming more than previous gens... seriously, you're kidding yourself if you do. SWK may have failed it doesn't mean devs should limit themselves to dance/sports/mini games. A game like Heavy Rain would benefit from motion controls, also games like Mass Effect but it takes time to make these games  so I'll wait.

I never said this, stop putting words in my mouth.  YOu couldnt get some buddies around to play some COD?? Thats your problem, doesnt mean that those games didnt have local MP. Your mum, dad and whatever didnt want to play those games?? Sucks. Its good that you can play games with your fam, more power too you, personally I play games so I dont have to talk to them but thats me.

Devs shouldnt limit themselves?? the damn Kinect is limited itself, its a damn camer. HR is a horrible example because that is a game that actually USES controls not camera gestures. A Mass Effect game running on JUST Kinect is not going to happen.  You are kidding yourself if you think the Kinect is capable of playing anything other than those genres you mentioned. And no im not talking about the mic option.  Maybe next gen when MS makes are more powerful Kinect.

I'm re-reading your quotes and yes that's what you're implying.

Buddies  are not who I was talking about, I was talking about families and people that don't play games prior to motion gaming.

Kinect limiting itself is you opinion thanks.

HR controls could easily be ported to motion gaming... it's not like it plays like COD and where did I said ME with just motion controls...

Funny thread, families played video games together long before Kinect Favorites in our family were Lemmings, Worms, various fighting games, burnout, and more recently lbp and various wii titles.

As for Kinect the only thing I'm interested in is Double Fine's happy action theatre, but my oldest (2.5) is still a bit young to grasp motion gaming. He's all over the wii controller and move controller. Not so much to play games, just to play with the buttons and pretend it's a weed whacker, a sword, a microphone, a flashlight, a hammer. Who ever came up with the idea to put a soft ball on the top of the move controller deserves a medal, genius.

The eye toy alone doesn't do anything for his imagination, at most he'll spend 5 minutes with a game because he can see himself on the screen. The eye pet demo was interesting for as long as the demo lasted. He does ask to play wii sports resort flying because things happen when you press the buttons. It's just more natural to hold things in your hands and have tactile feedback instead of pretending to be the sorcerer's apprentice. Nintendo understands this with all the plastic crap they brought out for the wii.

Camera controlled gaming certainly works for dancing but for most other things having some tactile feedback is always better. Sony had to give in in the end too and put rumble back in the controller, any feedback is better then none.

What Kinect does do is open up gaming to germaphobes :)

Any game that lets me have fun with my kids and my mates is pure win. And Kinect Star Wars has been awesome at this. Just behind Kinect Sports Season 2 for best Kinect game yet.

The fact is, there are much better games out there you can have fun with your kids & mates. SW-Kinect is trash.

Please let me know. I own alot already. Star Wars Kinect is definately better than all but Kinect Sports Season 2.

I think he means buy a Wii.

Had a Wii for 3 years. Sold that a year ago.

I guess Kinect does have the better library of family games and support more genres...

No doubt!

Really?

I dont have to answer this.

From first hand experience, My daughter being 4 played Wii games for 5 mins. Due to buttons and to be honest poor childrens games.
Kinect she will play for hours. Especially Once upon a Monster Sesame Street and Kinectimals. Also she loves Kinect Disneyland and Star Wars Kinect.

Kinect in just 1 year has had more use from her than the 3 years we had the wii.

Well yeah, obviously a 4 year old is going to prefer flailing her arms around and playing games like Sesame Street and Kinectamals as opposed to holding a controller and attempting to play more intricate games like Mario, DKC, Smash Bros, and Zelda..

This is hilarious. I have 4 family members on my 360.
Oh how internet sad people think they know you. Rofl.

So, your daughter didn't play much with the Wii from her birth until she was 3 years old? sounds like a crappy console alright.

fortunately now she can watch her dad playing star wars kinect with his friends and learn that beer is a important factor to have fun.

I lol'd but the second line was a bit harsh imo ;( <3

I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say I'm sure we all shared Selnors enthusiasm over Kinect and motion gaming in general. Imagine if every motion game announced was like GTA for us. The internet couldn't handle that shit!

Unfortunately I don't know what it is in my body that makes me almost vomit as soon as I think of standing up to play a game. Perhaps its all the crap food and pure laziness. What can I say? I want to sit and press buttons :)

yeah, maybe it was harsh, but it was him who said earlier how much fun motion gaming is with his mates and beer.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

No one is arguing the size of your family or the usage your 360 gets in your home, the point was that the breadth of Kinect releases is... narrow. Very narrow. And when they do try to reach out and do more serious things, it ends up poorly. This is precisely what some of us were saying all along.

4-year olds and your family aside; Kinect is not a great product for the average gamer or 360 owner and that's the whole point here. You can disagree if you want but I think you'll be in the extreme minority in doing so.

PS: Call me/us "sad people" all you'd like. Doesn't that imply that you're judging us? You don't us know any more than we know you. Shooting down your own argument with the same argument, I don't even know the word for such a fantastic accomplishment.

This sounds like you have been too ashamed to play Star Wars on your account. At least you still have some pride.

I loled at this

I think you missed the point.

I was lauging at the poster concerned why Star Wars was not on my profile.

I pointed out that was probably due to me playing with my daughters as she plays it non stop.

Gamertags dont mean that much to me apart from the social aspect.
