meh.. Daylight was below average, I still think it's one of the weakest movies I watched in cinema (I don't go to the cinema that often)

There are worse ones out there that make it to the cinema. Chipmunks 3, Whats eating Gilbert Grape, Magnolia, etc.

yea, I don't doubt that, but out of the movies I personally watched at a cinema Daylight is one of the weakest

>_>

Are Blu-Ray included? I can't wait till The Hunger Games comes to Blu-Ray! It will dominate the charts, again!

Top 5 films would be

Ghostbuters
Predator
Aliens
Shaun of the Dead
Ferris Buellers Day Off.

I was not a fan of the African Queen at all. Lol

Obviously failed to read the classic part.

Wizzard of Oz

King Kong

Get Carter (1971)

The Time Machine

Zulu

Most of the best films were made in the 80's 90's IMO. The latest films just don't really appeal to me. Just seems to be a load of remakes, reboots, re-imaginings etc. What are the best new fims in theatres at the mo? The girlfriend is always asking me to take her to the cinema but I'm never sure what to watch.

My top 5 favorite classic (pre 1970) movies

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly (1966)
Once Upon a Time in the West (1968)
Vertigo (1958)
Spartacus (1960)
The Wild Bunch (1969)

Most overrated classic movie: 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)

I watched 2001: A Space Odyssey once and tried watching it again a couple of times but could not do it.  The movie has very good special effects for its time and the cinematography is good also but everything else is sub par.   Once Upon a Time really grew on me the first time I watched it I thought it wasn't that good but it got better with repeat viewings.

I am looking forward to Prometheus but have to admit im not expecting too much.

People who say 2001 is overrated just didn't "get it". Excellent movie.

So, what's the definition of a classic movie?

I guess that I din't get it then when it comes to movies on of my main criterias it that it has a comprehensible plot which 2001 totally lacks.  For that reason alone I rather watch the original "Planet of the Apes" any day of the week over 2001.  Also their are a lot of people that didn't get it or else it wouldn't have eleven and a half pages of one star reviews on imdb.
