My favorite 70's horror movie is Suspiria.

It's classy and trashy at the same time.

the orginal nightmare on elm street is my all time favorite. It's pretty tame bye today's standards, but I thought it was fun.

Thanks for all suggestions guys!

I was actually planning to make a favorite horror movie thread to get some inspiration, but now I won't have to! :D

Edit: Also, butter is necessary to fully enjoy your popcorn! :P

Rosemary's Baby is the best horror movie of all time and - not coincidentally - it's also my favorite. Night of the Living Dead comes a pretty close second.

Around the Network

I dislike horror movies. >_> I mostly dislike anything that has to do with horror so... that would be expected. I didn't mind the Resident Evil movies, possibly because I watched during daylight. I'm such a baby.

If you wanna talk about bad horror movies, I saw Thankskilling a little while ago on Netflix, that was pretty bad.

I was always interested in that movie, but it looked worse than Evil Dead one! You say it is classy?

Yeah, the direction in it is might be the best in a horror movie ever.  The lighting is brilliant and Dario Argento bought up all of the remaining Technicolor film in the world to give it a look that can't be duplicated.

My brother just bought me Tron: Legacy on Blu-Ray! What did you all think about that movie? Did you see the old one?

Tron Legacy is one of those movies where the audio-visual experience alone can carry the whole movie. The plot was barely there but the characterization (Bridges and Penn mostly) was just enough to make it bearable, and then you just have to sit back and enjoy the light show.

So yeh, I enjoyed it! Feast for the eyes, basically.

I did watch the original, it has aged very poorly, I just enjoy seeing a young(er) Bridges really.

Yeah, the musical score in Tron: Legacy is just phenomenal. Daft Punk blew it away. Looked great in 3D in the cinema too. Now I'll see how it is in 2D

Spoiler, it looks great! Although less 3D Olivia Wilde is a terrible shame.
