OK?

So why did I pre-order Zelda again?

That's right, Nintendo Australia has... actually updated its Club Nintendo store!

All you Star hoarders out there now have the option of purchasing a 3DS pouch in the shape of Mario's or Luigi's hat, as well as a Golden Nunchuk to match your Skyward Sword Wii Remote.

The 3DS pouches will set you back 1300 Stars and, in addition to the 3DS, are able to fit a Nintendo DSi, Nintendo DS Lite or Nintendo DS. Because everybody knows that hat-shaped pouches are the economical way of storing electronic devices.

As for the Golden Nunchuk, it comes in at a hefty 3000 Stars and, well, it's golden.

You can check out the new items below, or view them for yourself at the Australian Club Nintendo store here.

You missed Metal Gear Solid 3. We can experince it now.

Sonic the Hedgehog titles since we can get them on the Virtual Console.

And the most important of them all... Chrono Trigger! How can you miss that?!

Level-5 rules out Ni no Kuni DS localization

Ni no Kuni is coming to North American and European PlayStation 3 systems early next year. But what about the DS version?

Localization of Ni no Kuni DS won't be happening. According to Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino, the company did consider bringing it to the overseas markets, but ditched the idea after they determined it would be too difficult to localize the game - partially due to the lengthy book that comes bundled with each copy of the title in Japan.

Back in October 2003, Nintendo filed a patent for game emulation. The US Patents and Trademarks Office approved the filing nearly ten years later.

According to Engadget, "built-in displays and accompanying software on external computing devices" are included in the patent.

Maybe we'll see Nintendo emulators on airlines one day. Or maybe not.

FreddeGredde’s “Video Game Rock Medley” features Zelda

You might remember a couple years back we reported on FreddeGredde’s amazing video of him playing all the instrument parts in his medley from The Wind Waker. He’s gone on to cover many, many more videos of him covering songs, and has also released a fantastic album of original songs written and performed by himself.

Now he’s back with another amazing video game medley! This time covering 34 (!) themes in about ten minutes in a fantastic prog rock style. And, yes, two of those 34 songs are Zelda themes. The way he perfectly synchronized the video of him playing the notes with the video of Link playing those same notes is inspired is spine tingling awesome.

Watch him perform all of the instruments (guitars, bass, keyboards, tin whistle, kazoo) but drums and hear how expertly he segues through songs in the video after the jump!
