didn't read the article, but i can say that after being on this internet forum sony fans really turn me off of buying their products. They all seem to rabid in their views and still think sony is the quality leader in everything. Ruined the Sony image for me as before i thought of them as a a clean sleek brand.

Whilst I agree with you, I point out it's not entirely a one way relationship because we do get their items as well so...you know.

Look at what was posted about Vitality Sensor, Wii Music, Kinect core games etc. before their releases ;)

Maybe sony fans just travel to other threads more often. I dont really see a lot of nintendo fans in the ms section constanly attacking or being negative about anything announced there. But I always seem to see the sony fans. I dont really have a gripe with nintendo fans as far as i can tell i can only pick one or two out. This is just what i notice. I am not in the sony or nintendo forum really, just the ms and the the others. But I dont even bother with the MS section any more, really no point as there really ins't any discussing going on there just sony vs ms stuff all the time.

It can be argued that Nintendo fans don't do that because the Wii and 360/ps3 don't go for the same kind of games and it can be argued that you see sony fans being negative in the MS section because that's where you mostly reside, I mostly reside in the Sony section and I see fans from all corners critising Sony from all angles, I also see critics from Nintendo fans aimed at Sony handhelds.

Just because you don't see it doesn't mean it doesn't happen. 

No fan group are saints, each side has its flaws.

What a stupid article title...ohhh poor sony!  news flash, its not just sony.   nintendo and microsoft share the same ill fate.  Gamers love to hate everyone and everything.  Everything is a competition and everyone needs to pick sides and start arguments over things that don't honestly matter.  No matter what a company tries to do, there will be people out there that condemn and find fault and piss and moan about something.  Case in point, the circle pad pro.  how many whiners have come out of the woodwork over that measly 20 dollar peripheral?  "wahh waah, it should've been on in the first place".   Well, it isn't and it was made as an add on.  if ninty had never released the circle pad, the same darn people would be whining that they didn't offer it and should have.  Either buy it or don't, whatever.

Success for some brings on the need for others to try and find fault and rip it down.  Gamers are very intolerant and seem to expect everything from a company and btw, don't try and make money off of me doing it.  and then the company does its best to appeal to/appease the consumer and then get criticised and whined at anyways.  People need to start cutting all these companies some slack, and enjoy the products released instead of complaining about them.  if your that unhappy, then quit gaming and take up knitting or tea drinking and you can join folks other folks that have nothing better to do than nag.

see this is my point, did you even read what i wrote? I said i am not in the sony section, for a reason, I only have a psp and i dont play it.. There is no need for sony fans to be in nintendo or ms sections bashing them, and vice versa. I just only seem to notice sony fans on the attack, not nintendo. Since I am a 360 fan i am somewhat biased in what i see regarding ms, but  i really dont see to many ms fans bashing others mainly because there are so few. I mean you can look at discusioins in the ms section and compare to sony. You will see far fewer threads, and even fewer with actual discusion. There is a reason, its just not worth discussing ms positive news on this site.

And let's not forget what was happening in 2008 where Wii was closing to 50% market share and X360 was outselling PS3 in Japan

lol. I just posted about how I thought it was stupid that people thought sony got more hate than its competitors. That being said, I disagree with the message this article tries to convey.
